I think that quote is telling. It's honest. And for a young RB in the NFL, totally understandable. These guys are playing for 2nd contracts. That's the Holy Grail. Because there are almost never lucrative 3rd contracts for RB.

And he probably realizes his best path to getting that is having a very good 2023 season for the Rams.
