I am old enough to remember the big blow-up over Fred Dryer being cut. He was fan favorite
and he was losing it, and sadly needed to go.
But as a child --- I wanted him to stay. But I was wrong looking back. And there are a lot of others.
Some were mistakes, but I think most of the time when a player is cut or traded it's because
he's not as good as he had been and is making too much to justify keeping him
