If the Rams are thinking similarly to your plan, to me this is the year to draft a potential QB of the future....assuming they think there is one. For one reason, they need a year to evaluate him, while he serves (probably) as a back up. BUT.....if they are not thrilled with his development, I can see the Rams trading for a veteran QB and paying a high price for him the following year (or maybe even in '25 depending on Stafford).
The Rams couldn't get to where McVay wanted even with a good....not terrific... QB in Goff. Surely they understand that without an elite level QB you are NOT going to win a Superbowl. And choosing a QB in the draft is the granddaddy of all crap shoots.
