In the 2024 there are 2 really good prospects.
While 2023 may not be what we all would like I think we will be better than the bottom of the pile and probably won't have a shot at the top QB prospects in the 2024 draft.
It seems really hard to find a great QB. Warner was great but Martz screwed him up. Bulger was ok but was never confused with the top QBs in the league. The what? Bradford stunk was a total bust, We spent years in the dark ages before we got Goff. Goff showed a lot of promise but McVay couldn't figure out how to get the best out of Goff and Goff had a couple of great years. Now we got Stafford and he is really good too though we paid a very high price.
Lot's of people seem like they can't wait for Stafford to retire but I remember how hard it has been for the Rams to get a really good QB. Roman Gabriel I saw as a kid and he was great but then it seemed like we had a drought and even tried Joe Namath and Bert Jones neither was very good with us. Ferragamo took us to a Super Bowl but wasn't a top QB in the league. Chrissie Everett?, Dieter Brock, Haden, James Harris? That is a lot of years and a lot of below average QBs.
My point is Stafford is really good and you can't win without a really good QB. Picking a QB in the draft is a crap shoot when you look at the failure rate. I hope he plays another 4 seasons before he retires. I don't want to go back to the dark ages of looking for a QB again.
