The Kansas City Chiefs only have 3 players drafted between 2017 and 2019, the timeframe being used to dis Snead.
Patrick Mahomes, QB, 1st round in 2017.
Derrick Nnadi, DT, 3rd round in 2018.
Nick Allegretti, G, 7th round in 2019. <== currently 2nd string LG
And what else do these two teams have in common, other than not being able to retain guys they drafted 4 to 6 years ago? They are winners of the two most recent Super Bowls.
edit: The Eagles, losers of the most recent SB, has a whopping 5 guys left from those three drafts. This is really shaping up to be a story about nothing.
So, it seems the reason players aren't being retained based on the above info, is due to being on a "winning" team and not so much "who" drafted them.
I agree. It isn't the "awesome talent" the players have but more about how your team is doing and who the HC is.
