This board? How about our entire country?
Reality doesn't matter any more. It's all about how people "feel" things should be.
I'll take being in the super bowl twice since McVay arrive and understand you are going to have to take some lumps when that happens.
I will say that the Rams' loyalty to their players, often taking lesser compensation to allow a player to go where it's best for the player, is sometimes frustrating. But, it's also the reason why FA are willing to come here when they have other choices.
Personally, I'm not sure how competitve we'll be next year. I think a LOT of that hinges on how healthy Stafford really is and how seriously AD takes the season.
I do think if somehoe you can get the High-level Stafford, Kupp being Kupp and and AD being the GOAT that he is, combined with the draft picks and the cap space in '24 that should be there, the Rams are right back in the thick of things.
I guess the choice is this, Do you want to be the Steelers of the last 10 years, who are pretty much always in the play-offs and not really SB material, or do you want to be the Rams who have be true contenders to win it all for 4 of the last 6 years with the understanding there will be years when they are just not going to contend because they gotta pay the interest on the salary cap credit card.
