The problem with this line of thinking is that this team is the passion of the posters on this board.
Grown a$$ men coming on here to talk about a sports team.
So to be like "hey don't complain" is like saying "hey, why don't we shut the board down when times get tough".
I get it, the sky is falling.
But when it's good, we talk about the good. When it's bad, we come on here to vent and criticize. Maybe you are being a bit soft, not the people posting their opinion.
Snead and McVay are not perfect. They are definitely at risk of losing their "genius" status. There is room to criticize. One example is they have been a little reckless with contracts when things were going good.
Anyway, always find it interesting that these places are so censored and people are so sensitive. I guess we're all supposed to be in group think.
You are making a strawman argument.
No one is saying "hey don't complain" and therefore no one is like saying "hey, why don't we shut the board down when times get tough".
What they are saying it is unreasonable and without basis and proof that what is happening is a fireable offense.
See the difference?
Criticizing is 100% fine.
Criticism of the criticism is fine.
People going ape and wanting to fire a coach after 8 games last year is something that should be challenged
People going ape and calling for the heads of McSnead (and a small minority are) should be challenged.
If someone thinks that is soft, they is their right to say that.
An example is oldnotdead. He can say whatever he wants, but he's not free from being
called the moron he is. And how soft he is. And what a liar he is. And that he hates
Morris. And what a clown he is. If he were here he could try and deny it but when
there is mountains of evidence that proves his theories wrong . . . he will remain
a clown. Not a serious poster.
So, I agree with you, there is room to criticize.
And people who think the sky is falling should be able to take criticism as well.
If a poster thinks it is soft, then so be it.
And if he can bring the evidence - such as McSnead have been winners so far
until unprecedented injuries to the oline, and that suggests they are pretty
smart.
Few teams' fans have enjoyed the success the Rams have since they entered
our lives.
That does not mean they are perfect. No one is. But compared to the other
teams in the NFL they are better than most.
Those of us who follow more than just the Rams know how bad other
fans have it. And those who keep track of drafting and trades and so on
so that Snead is not some idiot. Perfect? No. Better than most, though.
Sure, people are passionate, but that does not mean the extreme
obsessed stupid stuff cannot be called out or called soft.
There is pretty good evidence that he's right.
