"His 40 total pressures were a career-low"
I wonder if the Charmin Shell had anything to do with that?
Those 8-10 yard cushions allow the QB to get the ball out in less than 2.5 seconds. Even the GOAT A.D. is going to struggle getting pressure consistently in under 2.5 seconds.
That ultra soft zone pretty much neuters our pass rushing ability from anyone but that's the "concept" of the scheme isn't it? The main focus is not to give up the big play. And it does that very well...although it's at the expense of the pass rush.
Pressure on the QB is not the main priority in the Morris scheme. It just isn't. We have 3 HOF players on this D and the best we can come up with is a "glorified" Prevent defense?
Are the other 8 players that bad or is it an inability to scheme these guys better? If it's the players then I sure hope we can get Morris some more talent to work with. If it's coaching/scheme related well then something needs to change. Like 43 says, maybe that's where Lake and Pleasant come into play? We should know more by week 6.
I still think we are wasting the talents of 3 HOF players in this scheme. Well, maybe only 2 HOF'ers since Rah has gone out of his way to play Ramsey everywhere in that Star position.
Still not sure Ramsey should be playing so much star. I like him better when he's one on one with the other teams WR1.
How many more days until the Draft??? lol
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
