I don't know why it would be officiated any differently. The NFL wants scoring, scoring, scoring because most people in our society have the attention span of a gnat.
Defenses are only allowed in the stadium at all for background or comic relief. The league wishes that every game could be 38-35.
Yesterday looked like flag football to me.
