Rams43
Here is a potential Rams starting OL:
Jackson. Because Boom’s ability to stay healthy is a concern. And a trade or FA would be too costly.
FA or draft pick. Probably prefer a solid but experienced vet for leadership, like Alyo suggested.
Schmitz (draft pick). Because I think he’ll be a day one starter over even the experienced Shelton. And a potential future All Pro.
Anchrum, Bruss, or Brewer. Surely ONE of these guys can play at the NFL level, right? RIGHT?
Hav.
I think that could be a SB caliber OL with some quality backups for injury insurance.
Rams could get away with a mere draft pick IF they’re willing to gamble that one of their OG candidates could be that LG. But after last year’s injuries AND seeing what superior OL’s can do in SB do they really want to take a chance?
That's a nice, well laid out plan. Schmitz might be the "key" to all that working. I would love to have him on our OL.
I agree, it shouldn't be too hard to fix the OL if we do it correctly and we have to do it correctly. Our season might depend on it.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
