You say stills don't answer, but Jim is telling us what the coverage is and everything else. He clearly knows what he's talking about. I don't think I've ever seen you go into depth about coverage or defensive assignments. That's not a criticism of you by the way. My understanding of coverages is elementary. But y'all seem to make blanket statements like "the eagles don't play soft zone", get challenged with pictures that certainly look like soft zone, and then have nothing to back up what you say.
And I'm not too concerned about what other people are saying because most of us all have a basic knowledge at best. Y'all act as if Raheem Morris or Sean Mcvay could read the internet and go " hey why didn't we think of that?!" They clearly run their coverage for a reason (it's been discussed over and over again that the Rams lack pass rush, unlike the niners or eagles). Do y'all think Morris runs the scheme the way he does because he's dumb? Incompetent? Do y'all think Mcvay allows it because he's dumb? Incompetent? It's the same scheme from last year. But we didn't have a Von Miller. Heck we didn't even have a Dante Fowler.
And here's the clips from yesterday. The corners are indeed playing soft zone plenty

My "knowledge" is "elementary" also RR. I don't claim to know it all. I am sure JY43 knows more than I do about defensive alignments than I do. Good for him. Give him a gold star if it makes him feel better. lol
I also never said "the eagles don't play soft zone" or any other team for that matter. I question if they run it as much as we do.
Also, is the Eagles "soft" coverage played the same way as ours? The same amount of down linemen and the same attack strategy? The same kind of coverage post snap? Are their players better suited for an occasional soft zone?
I may not know a LOT about it but I am pretty sure each team that runs a "soft" zone most likely runs it a bit different than each other for various reasons. I am not sure there are 2 teams that run it exactly the same all the time. That's why those pics don't tell the "whole" story.
I am not sure what you are saying in your second paragraph. I never called McVay or Morris stupid. Never said they didn't have stones. Never said I know more than they do. I just am not a fan of the Charmin Shell and how it seems to be our MAIN defensive strategy. IMO, it needs to be mixed up a bit more. I have said before many times that I would be ok if Morris stayed as DC but would prefer he not run a prevent defense all the time.
I understand your point about our lack of a pass rush and agree with you. The Eagles DO have a pass rush and a very good one at that so maybe using them as an example is not an equal comparison. JMO
Also, I didn't take anything you said as criticism to me personally but thanks for pointing it out. I have no problem with you whatsoever.
Again, I am not a "Morris Hater" as JY43 likes to call people who criticize Morris or his scheme. I hate the "scheme". Morris just happens to be the guy who runs it.
As for the posting vids, I have no desire to take the time to do that. I really don't care about proving anyone wrong or right. It's not as important me as it is to JY43.
I also won't go out of my way to post threads and articles from other sources that agree with ME for the same reason. I am just here to have fun and be entertained.
The posts and gifs I post about the Charmin Shell are done for humor. It's simple as that and it IS very entertaining to see how upset someone gets over it!
Not sure about you, but if someone's posts got me THAT worked up...I might consider using the "ignore button" on them or seeing a doctor for a sedative.
As I said, I am not easily offended so I have never used that button and most likely never will.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
