You say stills don't answer, but Jim is telling us what the coverage is and everything else. He clearly knows what he's talking about. I don't think I've ever seen you go into depth about coverage or defensive assignments. That's not a criticism of you by the way. My understanding of coverages is elementary. But y'all seem to make blanket statements like "the eagles don't play soft zone", get challenged with pictures that certainly look like soft zone, and then have nothing to back up what you say.
And I'm not too concerned about what other people are saying because most of us all have a basic knowledge at best. Y'all act as if Raheem Morris or Sean Mcvay could read the internet and go " hey why didn't we think of that?!" They clearly run their coverage for a reason (it's been discussed over and over again that the Rams lack pass rush, unlike the niners or eagles). Do y'all think Morris runs the scheme the way he does because he's dumb? Incompetent? Do y'all think Mcvay allows it because he's dumb? Incompetent? It's the same scheme from last year. But we didn't have a Von Miller. Heck we didn't even have a Dante Fowler.
And here's the clips from yesterday. The corners are indeed playing soft zone plenty. Do we run it more? Probably. Do we have their defensive lines or even secondaries? Big no.
Look at the 3 minute mark. Second and ONE and the eagles defensive backs are way way back in the frame.
