I HAD one of those... you're right...

I think that's a mid-west thing.... don't recall seeing all that many 'pork' fair entree's out west here except for shredded pork, which is common.

Can't remember where I had it... "may" have been Iowa, actually.. but not at a fair.

Just a few years ago I posted on this board about a Mom & Pop in Minnesota... I had never been to Minn. so when I visited Iowa to scout a college for my grandson I hopped over the border and we stopped at a Mom & Pop that was appropriately named "Mom & Pop".

So anyway.. .like most 'true' diners they offered home baked pies... so I had coconut cream, (I almost always choose coconut creme, followed by banana creme... and not rarely apple, blueberry... NEVER apricot, don't like them, or peaches). And it was to DIE for... it was so fabulous I almost ordered a second slice. - JamesJM
