How those street vendor hot dogs taste so much better. . . much like hot dogs taste better at ball parks. . . or bacon cooked over a fire on a camping trip. It might be how you feel at the time that contributes.

I have not been to a county fair in probably fifty some years. But I know what you're talking about. I regularly watch a show on the Food Network called Carnival Eats. .. and some of the foods they feature are outrageous.
Back in my day, it was pretty much french fries, flavored ices, cotton candy and other mundane eats. How things have changed. And I would definitely not want to know what the nutritional values are on some of these items.
