I just think In context of the roll of the dice thing about Noteboom that it is also a roll of the dice for a 38 year old LT. Remember Jackie Slater in 1992 and 1993 and he was not the same guy at all.

And salary cap wise, I think they have partly made decisions they have for 2020 and 2021 based on assuming AW would no longer be there. Given their relatively lower cap space paying him even five million would hamper them elsewhere and perhaps cost them a long term ascending player like Littleton.

To one extent or another all new starters are a roll of the dice.

But then some players, you get a stronger feel for.

NB has good buzz for a reason. I think a lot of the doubts about him are misplaced.

Think of the new young players this team has promoted and they took off or at least did well. Johnson, Rapp, Littleton, Kupp, Henderson, for that matter Goff in year 2. Hav played well from 2017-18 and that's after many called for his head in 2016.

Who are the failures? Few and far between.

These coaches have a good, solid record of promoting guys.

I keep harping on it. I think some folks mistook OL *unit* issues for individual talent issues. A line has to play together. It is not a sum of individual parts. It has to cohere, and when that isn't there no individual player in the unit CAN look good.
