And they are favorites to win the SB again this year. Not saying they will but if they do they will have won 2 and then will need to start making hard choices.
But if you told me that we could do the same and win 2 SBs I would sign up for that every day and twice on Sundays. The object is to win the ring , not make the playoffs and get bounced out in the first round.
Chances are the Eagles will lose some guys but stay at playoff level for a few more years. I know the Rams are looking to remain at or near the top of the league and have to manage the cap somewhat to do so.
My question is how do the Pats keep at the top year in and year out? I know having basically 5/6 wins from the division every year helps, you only need to go 5-5 to win the division and a bye .
Just rambling, I want them to do whatever it takes to win the Ring, not just make the playoffs, heck the Dodgers keep making it but never seem to make the right moves to get over the top. 30 years and counting for them.
I contend that their division sucks (like you said) and has for a long time. Also, the AFC is nowhere near as strong as the NFC so it makes getting TO the Super Bowl easier. But how have they won so many rings against the NFC's best? Well, we can't deny the synergy of Brady and Bellicheat together. Bellicheat is great at coming up with a game plan that exploits every weakness you have and Brady is great at executing said plan. They also seems to manage their cap very well. But, IMO they are on the tail end of this dynasty and I don't see the current regime making it to the dance again.
