Winning and Case getting it done can be separated. When they win 9-3, it’s a win but not necessarily a case of Case getting it done.
The team is smart enough to know when it’s the D that is the reason for the win. They are also smart enough to know that they are not winning because of the QB and that they are ranked near dead last on offense. There is no insult in making a change under those conditions.
It was the defense that was on the field as the time expired in all 3 wins. I believe in all three cases we had a chance to run out the clock on offense but didn't get it done in any of them. That's not all on Case by any means though. I've been impressed with his grittiness. But we didn't pay so much for Goff to have him be a spectator. Unless Case tanks, I think we should ease Goff in since we've been winning.
