QuoteJimYoungblood53 QuoteRamsDynasty I understand a player can be a better prospect but not the best fit. Is it a style/mesh thing that makes you like Fiske better?. Yes, that's my opinion. I think Fiske the better fit for what Rams have been doing. Obvoudolu I don't know who will be better I don't know exactly what Rams will do on defense. Shula and Snead have said several things, per Joby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks in a good way, I was trying to justify it so I could let that fleeting dream go and you explained it very objectively. You even preemptively answered my what about Newton in the AD question before I asked it. Now i can move on, lol.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
For me the news about the Stafford desired restructure, was a good thing. Not that he wants out or necessarily wants more money (of course he does but that's not the point), I think this was a smoke signal to the organization that this isn't an AD will he or won't he thing. He wants to be the Rams starting QB for the next 3-4 years so no need to burn a high draft pick we can use to ring on a QB.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Quoteoldschoolramfan When I was watching the draft and Fiske was picked I thought to myself, the Rams love this guy and he reminds me of Greg Gaines. Well, check out these #'s mi amigos. Gaines....6'1" 312 5.15 (3 cone) 5.15 (40) 30 reps (225 lbs) Fiske......6'4" 300 4.37 (3 cone) 4.78 (40) 26 reps (225 lbs) Well, McSnead must really like what Gaines brouby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
When the Rams were drafting #19 I wanted an edge, we ended up with Verse but at the time I was weighing and comparing Verse, Latu and Turner. In the 2nd round I wanted the best DT we could get I was thinking Smith and Jenkins before I knew about the trade up but really like the idea of Newton while ok with Fiske. When sixth round rolled around and I was staring at the best available list I likedby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJimYoungblood53 QuoteRamdemic I'm sorry, but I like Verse a lot more. Seems like a way better culture guy. Turner looked a bit small and kind of a d-bag. but we just disagree about peak value as a rusher and cover guy. Yeah, Turner is small, but he's faster and he's dropped If you don't like him, fine. I like both. One has more all around abilities the other has better array of pass rushby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I appreciate the well thought out write up. This wouldn't be the first time a front office was scouting one guy and his teammate jumps off the screen garnering attention. I am now curious if both Newton and Fiske were both available would the Rams have still gone Fiske because of chemistry and camaraderie? Is it that their games mesh better together? I love the position and have no problem at allby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams should still bring in an UFL pk or two for competition in training camp. What could it hurt?by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
That answer makes sense. Kicker tastes can be subjective. Another question what differentiates Fiske from Newton? Is Fiske a better scheme fit with the Rams? How close were they on your board?by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Why didn't the Alabama pk make your list but the other two consensus top three pk did?by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I find it strange that a team with more quality DL than linebackers run a 3-4 defense. The Rams should run a 4-3 defense.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Stafford low key signaling he isn't pulling an AD and actually wants to be hear at least three more years. No need for a first round QB let's maximize this roster for a run, plus redoing the contract frees up more cap space to fill out roster, ie John Johnson, Whitherspoon or UFL PK types.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote3030 In no particular order; - wide body DT - developmental OG/C - WR/KR - PK I might swap out a better than UDFA off ball linebacker for coverage and special teams instead of the developmental OG/C.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I love the positions addressed and the players. Only one question if the Rams "overpayed" in the move up to get Fiske, couldn't that same price have been paid to trade up three picks higher #36 instead of #39 and secure Newton instead of Fiske? I am not a draftnik but the two draft books I purchased had Newton rated as the top DT actually over the Longhorn first round DT. Does Fiske fitby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Exceptional talent that you will probably only get one contract out of at best, IF you get that lucky but if you do at least you get 3-4 very good years before physical issues end his career early.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I have to believe we are going offense. So OL, TE, WR or is McVay's Shula support continuing?by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Did we give up too much or was it a steal? Considering the future 2nd.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Leave next year's worries to next year. If we dominate this year that 2nd is more like a 3rd.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams DL was quite aggressive with AD, Donald and Floyd. Last year wasn't a lack of aggression, it was a lack of talent. That being said I am loving this draft.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Don't they have 2 first round DT's already?by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Or is their value like half of this year's approximate picks value? If this year's #40 is worth 150 is next year's #40 worth 75?by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I have heard he is a Jack of all trades but master of none type player. Can play any position but isn't seen as elite at any of them. Highly versatile though.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Would you trade up for Newton, and in your opinion if the Rams go DT/IDL what are the fits preferences between Newton, Jenkins, Smith, Sweat and Fiske? What is the best fits for our personnel?by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I assumed the ABC NFL Draft was the same as ESPN for folks without Cable but it was a completely different broadcast so I had to record two and watch one. TBH the ABC broadcast wasn't the best besides the Nick Saban of it all.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
I might give up both of our Raheem picks IF they trade us back a 4th round pick this year. We need a 4th this year and losing two 3's isn't the worse when they are comp picks anyway. So Bills #33 and #128 for our #52, #99 and next years Raheem comp 3rd.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 QuoteRamsDynasty The cost should be much less especially for a first round type talent in the 2nd. The point is whether or not a player at, say, 35 is worth that much more than another player at 52? And at the cost of a Day 2 pick? Day 2 picks are right in Snead’s wheelhouse. Look no further back than the 2023 draft. True but this might present the unique ability to pull a Texansby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com

Probably right but IF the Rams are doing damage I mean in competition for the top two seeds in the NFC after Thanksgiving then he might go, hmmmmmmmby RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
Not only skipping training camp but the first half of the season to boot, lol.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
True but I am thinking the Rams should be calling the Patriots because they have lots of holes so they might be listening and pray that the Bills have to replace Diggs. You are right I call them both if the cost is similar remove all doubt and get the Bills pick but if the Pats are more reasonable, have a tentative deal in place but if the Bills take him or trade the pick then back out.by RamsDynasty - RamsFootballFans.com
