When I was watching the draft and Fiske was picked I thought to myself, the Rams love this guy and he reminds me of Greg Gaines.

Gaines....6'1" 312 5.15 (3 cone) 5.15 (40) 30 reps (225 lbs)
Fiske......6'4" 300 4.37 (3 cone) 4.78 (40) 26 reps (225 lbs)
Well, McSnead must really like what Gaines brought to the table because they went out and got version 2.0 with Fiske.
One thing is that they go 100% snap to the whistle and do it on every play! There's only hustle and get to the ball with these 2 players!!!
I think that Fiske is a MUCH better player than Gaines. In fact, I suspect that Rams considered Fiske a 1st round value and a steal at 39.
I hope so because while I liked Gaines how much of his effectiveness can be accounted to the AD effect. I am hoping Fiske can develop into a monster in his own right or at least a Pro Bowl level starter at DT. Gaines was a nice accessory to the AD/Ramsey Rams defense, the Rams need Fiske to be a foundational load bearing wall on this Rams defense.
