but with the pressure off... as far as making the playoffs this season, or even winning a game.... I'm no where near as anxious about the games. Some of it I'm actually finding funny, in a sincere but wry kinda way. I'm quite relaxed watching this game.... and no alcohol involved... although now that I mention it that's not a bad idea. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Game Time Forum
With formation flying paying passengers, or even free yet "public guest", are unlikely at least and probably never on the flights. BUT... special folk, dignitaries, sometimes journalists, yes... that's common. I have been on many 'guest rides'.... paying and non-paying. On none was I allowed to be part of any type of 'formation' flying... the only 'special' flight I was allowed toby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
One of the few comedians I ever saw live. Lemme' see... I saw George Carlin... Steven Wright... Gallagher and I think that's it. I'm sure I've forgotten a few. I like comedians whose sole intent is to make you life... there is a place for all, of course... those who preach, those who ridicule, those who offend... but I think those with the sole purpose of making you laugh are growing rare.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
We knew it would be. I should post some photos of the damage caused by artificial turf. This morning I can't even bring myself to look at the scraps Ashton has on both knees, his thigh, and both elbows. After the game players were comparing turf burns... the damage was shocking! Ashton is covered in gauze this morning. I don't know how the home teams handle that... or if they do? Doby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
"I wouldn't do it again for a million dollars and i wouldn't take a million dollars for the experience". Not really true... I think back on my military service very fondly. Some of the best days of my life, actually. I'm not in contact with many old Army buddies these days. 2, to be precise. Sam and Oscar.. who I see rarely. Every 5, maybe 10 years... but speak to somewhatby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
We lost last night... to a better team. Congrats Kennedy. Ashton did well, scored our only TD. After there were tears from many players.... as you would expect... and that got to my granddaughter. :laughing Torrents of tears. Players were consoling her. :laughing She didn't cry because we lost... she couldn't take seeing her brother and her friends sad. She's a sweetheart. Ashtonby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
never will.. I don't think. Right now the talk is nearly all who to keep, who to let go, who to draft... IOW changes. And I think that's how it should be. But it's not me. We might draft the next Tom Brady next draft... but that does us no good this year. That's kind of where my mind is stuck. What can we do for this next game? - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Ned Logan: I sure do miss my bed. Bill Munny: You said that last night. Ned Logan: No last night I said I missed my wife, tonight I just miss my #$#@%#@ bed.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
The Covid vaccine made me feel a 'icky' for a couple of days.. but nothing to write home about. I remember once a pneumonia shot damn near paralyzed my arm it hurt so bad but none since then have been at all bad. Never got the flu from a flu shot... no effect at all. Got a flu shot due, I think... I don't know how people remember those type of things. Doctors always ask me, "Are youby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I don't know of anyone else that had any effects from the Shingles shot. Now the flu and pneumonia YES... not me, but lot of people I know had bad effects. Actually.. MOST people I know who get the flu shot GET the flu. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
:laughing At a Ram's game he was standing in front of me at the hot dog stand... Back then I was maybe 5' 7"... and I towered over Joe. I think was listed at 5' 8"? BS. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Well... if they HAD video'd those parties I attended back then I wouldn't be on this board today... I'd still being doing time in San Quentin. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
but my friend's wife meets with them occasionally and speaks VERY highly of them.... not a part of the 'rowdy' Hollywood scene... very business-like and cordial to all. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Well, no I didn't. I'm lying... but I came close. I met Jayne Mansfield. She came to Fresno for Jerry Lewis's telethon and I was performing.... lets see... I met Jayne and also Amanda Blake... know her? "Gunsmoke". I met some other stars at that telethon but I can't remember who. We have a common 'star meeting'... Robin Williams. Remember Pam Dawber? OR perhaps Mexico, Costa Rica.... considered some other places as well. BIG family vacation where I would have spent all my kids' inheritance. :laughing That was before this recent stock market nose-dive.... the trip is now on hold. Yes, Belize calls to me.. too many 'can'ts'. At this point I don't think some experiment should be automatically ruled out. Seem's every thing I read from the Ram's lately when asked "Why not.... yada yada yada" is answered with "Because we can't". it's one of those movies I can re-watch again and again. what an amazing combo... Newman and Redford. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is the movie I've seen the most times in my life. No idea how many times but I think it must be around 50? That sounds ridiculous doesn't it... but I think it's close to accurate.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
One of the first things you notice when Father Time starts to set in is that you don't recover from injuries as quickly - - and they hurt more -- even minor injuries. So yesterday Ashton and Elijah pulled their shirts off and were displaying their battle wounds from this last game. I was aghast. Scraps, bumps, bruises... and NOT minor ones. They were laughing them off, calling them 'minor'.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I get this question often. It would require a long treatise and I'm tired.... long day... plus a heavy Italian dinner with wine. but no need, you know. Just very briefly.. solid coverage, tackles, good pressure COMBINED with good running, routes, catches but still failing... that's good defense.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I love "Good" defensive game... I'm not among those who think any total score less than 50 means bad football. Today... odd... because maybe, it's possible, both defenses played very well... but you'd never know that because they didn't need to - - -the offenses were atrocious.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
in a friendly manner that is. :laughing No... SOME good happened in your example... today was abysmal. Perhaps not the worst of all time... but in the running. And I'm referring to BOTH teams... the "game".by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
You may be dead on right... I mean, at this point who knows? But they kept enough top notch players to perhaps not repeat but be heads and shoulders above this. The expenditure did not all come due THIS year.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I think today's game could have been the worst football game I've ever seen. And I saw only a little into the 3rd quarter... I hear it actually got worse.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
rock bottom is... because they are getting worse and doing so exponentially. Mama said it before me... how do you get from the SB to here? It makes no sense. Nope, not even considering the OL, the injuries... there is no logical explanation for this... although we'll keep trying. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
this is BAD football... both teams. Really, really, really piss poor football.by JamesJM - Game Time Forum
No one understands how this all works in Calif. I can't give you a good answer.... only some some excuses - good? bad? You decide. Teams here don't play their seasons ONLY against their division opponents. All our losses came to teams in higher divisions. BUT.... we moved up a Division for the playoffs. SO - In our Division some teams had very weak schedules and some, like us, had verby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
