Not really true... I think back on my military service very fondly. Some of the best days of my life, actually.
I'm not in contact with many old Army buddies these days. 2, to be precise. Sam and Oscar.. who I see rarely. Every 5, maybe 10 years... but speak to somewhat often. And yup, they're exactly like me.... they remember their experience in the Army fondly.
I don't attend many Vet functions.... and that's dumb on my part. Not sure anything feels "more at home" than meeting with a group of Vets... all branches of the military. - JamesJM
