Yes, me too. He looks like an intelligent, well trained, and more than capable RB. He always seems to get a couple extra yards by just how he changes his direction slightly and adjusts his shoulders. A little power and a little shifty.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
No uniform was more beautiful than the blues and whites the Rams wore in the late 60s.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I doubt that because JJ hasn't proven himself to be able to carry the team on his shoulders. He's pretty good but Penix's stats in these last games seem better. Last I checked football was still a team sport. Penix could outperform, "slay," JJ, but Washington could still lose the game to a very solid UoM team. It would be nice if UoM wins because Detroit sports are pretty badby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
He was a pretty good TE for the Rams. But I think Higbee overall has been the best TE we've had because he does everything so well.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I live in the Detroit / Ann Arbor area but I don't follow UoM football, however, at the beginning of the year the word was that JJ was not an exceptional passer. As the year went on he definitely showed that he could pass; not that he was a superstar but that he was better than adequate. I believe his arm was given credit for a few wins, if not more. Your observations and comments about JJ cby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I would love it if the Rams smashed the Lions' fans hopes! All my friends would cuss me and the Rams. Of course I wouldn't rub it in. If Detroit lost to the Rams the fans here would say, "yeah, same ol Lions, one game and they get bounced!" They wouldn't take the defeat so hard because they're really used to it. It's normal for the Lions to suck. But I think the Lions are aby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, we had no business making the PO this year, but McVay. And Stafford. But yeah, isn't this so much greater than the Fisher years!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
He looked pretty good against a good Penn State team. He's not said if he's coming out for the draft but I'm thinking he'd be a great fit for the Rams. Any thoughts?by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
LOL, yeah, so true. I don't think it was a lot but it was surprising to me to see fellow fans so quick to want to junk McVay. Honestly, come to think of it, maybe I was guilty in thinking / wanting to trade Stafford for a couple of #1s. Maybe I was wrong!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think a lot of guys have posted similar. We shoulda kept Gaines, our PK, and maybe a couple of others, can't think of them right now.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
But your point is still solid. I think Manning is the better QB.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Is that something you purchase or subscribe to? How can we other fans access it? Thank you for posting. Really nice reading and stats.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

Agreed. As Mr. Fliehr said, "To be the man you gotta to beat the man!" We need to beat the 9ers at their full strength.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
LoL you're absolutely right. I used to be the most pessimistic guy on this board but I think I'm no longer even in the top 10. This year exceeded my highest expectations and we have a shot at the POs! I'm very happy and feeling good.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Given his poor use of their former #1 QB and other things I remember him doing, he might be willful enough to play Purdy. I don't think he'd be fired. He's been a very good coach overall and gotten them into the playoffs often.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I didn't like the pick. After seeing the phone call video I really liked him as a person but I didn't think he'd be great. I was surely wrong! He is really running strong and smart. He's running like he should have been a #1 pick!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Most teams would do that, but Shanahan sometimes does stupid things with his QBs. I would not be surprised that even if he had the #1 sowed up he would play Purdy. If it comes down to the Rams having to win that last game in order to get into the PO I'd bet that the 9ers would be super motivated to whip us. They'd cut us no slack. It'll be a good game one way or the other.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
There's a common perception that running / athletic QBs are not good passers and as such are not elite. From looking at the passer ratings I'd say that that perception is inaccurate. Some very good running QBs are also good passers. Your list names some of them. Your point about the QB position being changed is a good one. The days of a QB only being able to pass are long gone and a good pby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I wouldn't say that Hurts is elite but he's very good and his record proves that. As Speed points out it does depend on your definition of elite. To say that he's mediocre is way to harsh, and inaccurate.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought we only had an outside chance of winning 7 games this year. I figured we'd win between 3 to 7 games. So, I'm more than satisfied I'm pleasantly surprised. I agree McVay / coaching cost us a couple games, and losing some of the good and relatively cheap players from last year also hurt us. If coaching had been better we had to team playing ability to have locked in a WC spot by nowby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Thank you Aly for the nice observations.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
You made some good points. I was thinking the Rams would offer their first to a team that wanted to move up and had a couple of guys who could play left tackle, sort of like how Pitt. gave up on Dotson. But yeah, you've got to get lucky to find a good LT available. Or, why not offer Jackson and a 1st for a top LT?by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah I do, but his stats state otherwise. In another thread I didn't mention Jackson's position as needing an upgrade. Although he's ranked low I've thought he's performed better. I'm not as good as a judge as some of the other, more knowledgeable guys on this board.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm not sure the best LOTs will still be available when we draft. Why not trade our 1st for a solid LOT? I'm also not sold on any rookie coming out of college will be a stud OT ready to start. Drafting is still partly a gamble, why not get a proven guy? He doesn't need to be an all-pro.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
A smart football program would be aware of everything he said. They should be using the statistical metrics, and the eye test, to judge and evaluate players. They should be aware of average guys punching out of their weight class for a short span and that regression to the mean will occur. If our coaching is worth anything, and they've proven they are, they'd know that Hoehts & LB needs tby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
