A smart football program would be aware of everything he said. They should be using the statistical metrics, and the eye test, to judge and evaluate players. They should be aware of average guys punching out of their weight class for a short span and that regression to the mean will occur. If our coaching is worth anything, and they've proven they are, they'd know that Hoehts & LB needs to be upgraded.
Overall, the Rams' mgt. has seen areas of weakness and tried to improve them. They've been a little slow for some of our tastes but they're in the hunt. They drafted Bennet to improve the QB, and they went he blew up they got Wentz. They got Dotson and just got that Crosby kicker. They are aware and are trying. I've seen dozens of years of Detroit Lions mgt. ineptness so I have a baseline to compare them to.
I continue to criticize McVay's fickleness, stubbornness, pass-happiness, and play-calling cutness. But I think he's learning and improving there as well.
