They certainly know exactly what the issue is with his knee. A kid writing for a website saying they are "mystified" is absolute nonsense. Have they been evasive on it, of course. They are simply not going to go into great detail, why would they? Keep it private for Terrell's sake and give him another offseason of rehab and don't tip off the rest of the league if they have to go in aby db - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed that its a bit of a fool's errand to predict the cap number for 2022. But when you look at the salaries and dead cap numbers for 2022, there are a lot of reasonable options to cut or restructure players with limited dead cap implications. After reading through it, I think we are definitely going to significantly kick the can into next year to create money for this year.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm sure everyone and their mother has "checked in" with the Lions on Stafford. That's what GM's do all day long, gather info. It takes 2 seconds to send a text to their new GM, who we have a relationship with, and find out what the asking price is.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
Not saying we will not make that pick, but we will not do both.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
Edwards is not going to RT. He's played no snaps at T since being the Rams and they are very happy with him at LG. Not saying we don't need an upgrade at C, we do of course, but unlikely we'll use precious cap space AND a high draft pick on the position. Relative to RT, don't sleep on Chandler Brewer, they are very high on him.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
Our guards were the least of our problems. Edwards and Corbett played well. When Edwards was not in there the last game, it showed. We have much bigger fish to fry than our guards.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
How can this possibly be? He sucks, we should have cut him long ago, and he's too short. :)by db - RamsFootballFans.com
Some good stuff here. But Long and Rapp don't play the same position, don't think those will be correlated at all. I too would like to see Long get more reps, primarily because we will not resign Hill next year and he needs to be ready to play in 2021.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
He's 6'5" and 321lbs. Your observations on size are always amusing.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
This vitriol towards Demoff is so misplaced. A COO for a sports team, particularly one working for someone with the breadth of business interests and experience as Kroenke, has responsibility that goes way beyond what the press and a message board understand and there is certainly no obligation to explain every detail or tell the entire truth. When he first got the job I thought he was a littleby db - RamsFootballFans.com
he sucks... we should have cut him weeks ago... and he's too short...by db - RamsFootballFans.com
It's been covered but Robinson is not eligible for another 3 weeks. Lewis is now eligible and has been practicing this week and we're all waiting to see if he's activated for this game, hopefully so.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, good one, real witty. It takes about 2 seconds to figure out he has 1.5 sacks in 12 games. He's simply a rotational pass rusher, we all know that. Should he be starting, no. Should he be cut, of course not. Floyd has only 4 sacks in his last 18 games, should we cut him too?by db - RamsFootballFans.com
Maybe he won't amount to anything. Who knows? You certainly don't. But this is only the second year he has played any games. He's been in a total of 12 games in spot duty his entire career. Personally I'm lukewarm on him, I'd favor snaps for Polite and Hollins at this point, but the thread was about improving the pass rush. Your assertion of cutting Obo at this point (in favor of Patrick noby db - RamsFootballFans.com
C'mon, teams aren't stupid. They have extensive pro scouting departments and have seen the tape from last year and know he was injured prior to that. They know he has talent. Everyone is looking for pass rushers. We'd lose him just like Denver lost Hollins to us. There is no chance in hell we are cutting Obo.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
Obo would not make it through waivers and we'd lose him. Patrick was active last game and played on ST, and he's worked mostly at ILB this year in practice. More reps for Polite - yes.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
No, I don't think you can make a generalized statement like that, the primary skillsets you look for in a LT vs. a RG are different. Boom has some of the best feet of any of the linemen on the Rams. Assuming you have all of the requisite physical and mental traits, T is about feet and balance, and G is about initial quickness and power. Yes, his skillset is better at T, no doubt. When he wasby db - RamsFootballFans.com
Good Lord, give it a few weeks, he's a rookie and it was his second game and he got banged up. Henderson didn't do anything last year either, but now he's doing what we expected. Akers will be the same and we will need both.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
This is interesting, but I can't quite follow/figure out the cap ramifications if any. We need someone like AlbaNY_Ram to take a run at it.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
We have been very lucky injury wise thus far. We've only lost one starter (Howard) and he was not a critical/impact player per se. You could argue Robinson as well, but he never practiced once. Seasons have rarely been clearer from a personnel perspective. Now of course, we have to play the games...by db - RamsFootballFans.com
Missed by one, both rookie ILBs gone. They like Trishton Jackson, need a second returner and they will not pay Reynolds next year. Polite and Lewis both on the active roster for the moment, but that could change. And interesting that both Shelton and Allen are on the active roster for the moment as well.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
My guess on remaining cuts: Bryce Perkins (its a risk, but hopefully makes it to PS, can't carry 3 QB's with their issues at OL and LB Coleman Shelton (although I believe what they would rather do is put Brian Allen on the DL with designation to return, and keep Shelton for time being) Eric Banks Justin Lawler Donte Deayon (too bad, good locker room guy, but he's the 5th corner and they haby db - RamsFootballFans.com
Agreed. And when you see him, he's built like a Center. But I don't remember him ever playing Center last year, and there has been no word or pictures of him playing Center in camp. I think they are just trying to get him completely up to speed at guard. He'd be a nice replacement next year for Blythe at Center, and if Edwards can get back in shape he should be starting at guard.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
Jake's offensive line does not make sense. He has no one other than Blythe that has played snaps at center in practice. Either Shelton or Allen will remain on the squad; you have to have a backup center. The only other option is the 2 guys you can have active from the practice squad on game day, so they may try to do it that way, but its risky.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
I think where he was drafted is irrelevant. He won the starting job in training camp, it was an open competition, and he outperformed Young, Reeder, etc. He was also our special teams tackles leader last year. The kid can play. Sure, if this is our biggest injury loss this year, we will indeed count ourselves lucky. But don't kid yourself, its a loss, he was a willing tackler with speed andby db - RamsFootballFans.com
There's the shoe we've been waiting to drop. They were way too secretive for it not to have been something serious. Now Young has to step up. But our proven ILB depth is arguably the worst position on the team.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
If they actually keep Demby on the active roster for any amount of time I'm going to lose my mind.by db - RamsFootballFans.com
