Every year the fans decide what we must have and I agree DE and CB are areas of need. But, there is only so much cap space and so much a team can do each year. They wanted to address DE with Miller, but once he left Snead said they aren't just signing a DE for the sake of signing a DE. In other words, there's more to filling needs than just the fact that the need is there.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
I have said it several times before....Jefferson prefers to catch the ball with his body instead of his hands. That Twitter video shows a real receiver who catches balls with his hands. I like Jefferson, but IMO he will never be anything but a 3rd or 4th receiver because he isn't dependable catching the ball.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
IMO, what was predictable was that the players were going to continue to get more and more aggressive until the refs finally started to throw flags. Can you blame them? I personally think it stinks that in the SB "they are going to let the players play" mentality exists. By the 4th quarter, both defenses were mugging the receivers on just about every play. I think McVay playing from behind is a better play caller than when he is ahead. Especially if it's by more than a TD.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
He had a great game and will be our ILB for a while.by Papatrey - Game Time Forum
I hope you/re right, but we did get rid of him two years for the reason I cited. He was just as intelligent then.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Weddle was an asset playing in that role. However, I believe he will be a liability against the Bengals because he is going to have to cover. He simply is no longer fast enough for that role. I hope Morris / McVay haven't fallen in love with him based on the 49ers game. Weddle and Reeder covering the middle of the field......YIKES!by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Could it be they were playing the run first most of the game? I noticed throughout the first three quarters that Miller and Floyd were seldom running straight up the field like they have done throughout many games this year. But on that last drive it was all out get to the QB.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Because the game was over as soon as he got on the ground without fumbling the ball. Gaines realized that. Howard did not.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
My take is when everything is working....stick with it. Both offense and defense. Against SF and TB we had a winning formula and built big leads, but then both sides of the ball went conservative. Keep your foot on the accelerator!!by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteThe_Zone That missed FG was shocking. 47 yarder and it was true, just not enough leg. Hope whatever is hurting him they can get it corrected before the next game. At one point, they said Gay felt some pain during warm-ups. Didn't elaborate though.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Yep, they substituted with about 13 seconds on the play clock.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't remember them ever saying they didn't want to resign him. I thought his contract was up and he just left.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
The only answer is a 32 team single elimination tournament. That way, no one is left out. 5 weeks of playoffs......31 games........lots of money. Win for everyone!!!!by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
With all respect, nothing in life is perfectly fair. No matter how fair it appears when the 'rules' are made, there can always be an exception that makes it seem very unfair. You have to be both good and lucky to win the super bowl. Injuries, penalties called / not called (think Rams vs Saints), the schedule, along with the playoff format all contribute to who ultimately is crowned the champ.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
I do agree with the article, especially the fact that we gave up a lot and he is not playing like an elite QB. However, I do have much more confidence in Stafford than I would if Goff was still the QB. This Sunday is one of the reasons. Even though he made giant mistakes, He continued to play in the same manner until the very end. When Goff had games like that, he would seem to go into aby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Me too with my two sons and a son-law. I think it was the very next play that Fournette ripped off a 75 yd TD run.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com

rah rah leaders don't hold people accountable.....it might hurt their feelings. Loved for a few years, then everyone catches on.by Papatrey - Game Time Forum
yep....he seldom makes a clean catch because he prefers to catch with his body instead of his hand. I can't recall any excellent receiver who didn't catch with his hands. Look at Torry's fingers. They are mangled from getting broken by always catching with his hands.by Papatrey - Game Time Forum
Stafford doesn't look much better. The offense doesn't look much better. The defense has taken a serious turn for the worse. Special teams suck. Yet all three areas just keep doing the same thing, making the same mistakes, etc. NO ACCOUNTABILITY!!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again....those rah rah leaders usually don't last long. People get tired of I need to do better, putby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit I don't remember anything that Tony Banks did ever helping the Rams' cause under any circumstance. He brought his cute puppy to training camp. Surely all the players enjoyed that.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought Von Miller primarily lined up on the Right Tackle. That's the same place Fowler normally plays. Also, when I've watched him play, he is just an "up the field" type guy. Teams often just run at him because he is only concerned with sacks. I know we need pass rush help which will help our coverage, but I'm a little skeptical. Go RAMS!by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotestlrams13 Wonder what he could in New Orleans Throw lots of short passes, fumble and/or throw an interception every game.....same old thing.by Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
He showed that play when Goff didn't see Cooks till it was too late. I was there and yelled "TOUCHDOWN" when I saw him throw his hand up as he was running past the DB. Unfortunately, I was too high up in the stands for Goff to hear. :censored :arghby Papatrey - RamsFootballFans.com
