is that he really seems to be developing eyes in the back of his head now as far as when rushers are coming behind him and he needs to move to avoid them, and then make something happen. When he was visibly thinking things through before, that disappeared and he looked very unaware. Now it's coming back.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
from just a QB stats viewpoint. All QB's have some yardage and/or TD's that are due to the contributions of the receiver or other players. but they were specifically citing Goff's ability to throw downfield as a strength. It is. The Watkins TD was a great example. The Woods TD was not. As I said, a nitpick. At a very tiny nit.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
Can't really argue with any of them. Maybe it's just what I wish, but I have a gut feeling from here in the area that the Cards aren't quite ready yet (they will be) to give up on the season, and that Arians will have them prepared to compete in this one. If Seattle falls 2 games behind the Rams, by losing another "should win" game in a row, that could really help. I hate to doubby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
When lauding Goff's ability to make big plays downfield they reference the long TD by Woods. Goff didn't throw that ball downfield at all. The 52 yards was Woods and the blocking. But otherwise, he's well-deserving of the award for the way he led the team on Sunday. Boss.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
When I starting looking at Goff vs Wentz prior to the 2016 draft, I moved towards preferring Goff. NOT that I didn't like Wentz. Liked the release, the way he was leading receivers (we still haven't seen that at the level he did it in college yet). The downfield focus. When things went sour last year, it was SO tempting to point out all the possible excuses, but that would have been hypocby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
1. Stanton is a backup, but he's not awful. They've won games with him before when Palmer was out. 2. They are starting to get something going Seattle doesn't have - a running game. 3. Some of those Seahawk prayer bombs may wind up in Patrick Peterson's hands if Wilson isn't more careful. 4. It's in Arizona. No Seahawk 12th ref, oops, I mean 12th man. 5. It's a division rival. Any given Sunby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree that the Rams are more likely to lose than win at Minn and at Seattle. But I think they can win at home against the Eagles. And I think the Seahawks will lose on the road at Cardinals this week and also against the Jags.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
Nobody is saying "hey, I called it -- after the fact!" Anyway, it's all just a discussion. As far as I know, nobody on here is always right. Nobody. I just wondered if people had changed their minds. As recently as this preseason, I still saw several people posting that Goff wasn't worth the picks. That surprised me. Have they changed their minds yet, or do they still thinkby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? It's gone now with the lost archives, but right after the trade (before we knew who they'd take) I wrote a "why the trade was worth it" post. Some agreed, some didn't. It's all cool. Goff seems to be making me look smart, but it could have gone the other way. I still say, you've got to try to get that QB, whatever it takes. And once you've got him, thby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
If we could just get out of the scoring basement, score maybe 6 or 7 more points per game, that would be good. If we could just get out of the 3rd Down % basement, maybe get into the top 20, that would be good. If we could just run the ball a little bit better, catch the ball a little bit better, that would be good. If Goff could just go from a very bad rookie to an average starter/game manageby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
Oh, a screen? Hey, nice move, he's got a chance! Yes! First down! Look at him BURST through that hole!! He's gonna go!!! TOUCHDOWN, RAMS!!! YEAHHHH, BABY!!!! AHHHWOOOHHHHHH!!!!! That's how it went down at my place.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
I think they kinda hit bottom in London. A lot of the luster is off of Arians in Phoenix right now, but he is also a proud, nut-cracking coach. They had a good game with AP before the Rams spanked them in London, and he put in another strong performance again yesterday. Not explosive anymore, but workmanlike. Meanwhile, the way the 'hawks are winning, when they do, is just ridiculous.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
The Rams were playing at Tampa Bay in a regular season game. TB had just gotten a multi-score lead in the 2nd half, maybe 10 or 11, I can't remember for sure. No sooner does Dick Stockton get the words out "the Rams are not a team that's built to come from behind" when ED explodes up the middle for a long TD. IIRC, he then goes on to get another long TD and the Rams win. I'll neby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
The brag about winning a road game is that you did it on the other guy's field, in front of his fans, screaming at you. He's home, you're not. And you win anyway. That's a road victory! But the Cards trip to London was not appreciably easier than the Rams. Neither team had a "home" experience there. It was a neutral venue. P.S. What I couldn't figure out was that onby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
I think I heard a broadcaster claim that for them today, too. The London game was counted as a home game for the Rams, like it or not. You can call it a road game all you want, but if you were right, they would only have 3 road games left and guess what? They have 4. But 4-0 on the road is pretty darn good, too. It's just that 2-2 at home is meh.by Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com

Aaron Donald grab the back of a guy's neck pretty much the same way last year? Not defending Suh by any means, but thuggish is as thuggish does. I haven't watched the NBA in many years, but I seem to occasionally remember seeing a power forward throw a big sharp elbow right into somebody's midsection or even their jaw when the official's head was turned. I had to go back and look up info on those seasons in order to be reminded about what happened. What I DO remember about the 1995 Rich Brooks 4-0 start is that it was fueled almost entirely by that Rams team committing NO turnovers while receiving many from their opponents. That was the big story of that start. Whether that was luck or design, it didn't continue, and once they weren't lopsby Saguaro - RamsFootballFans.com
