If we could just get out of the scoring basement, score maybe 6 or 7 more points per game, that would be good.
If we could just get out of the 3rd Down % basement, maybe get into the top 20, that would be good.
If we could just run the ball a little bit better, catch the ball a little bit better, that would be good.
If Goff could just go from a very bad rookie to an average starter/game manager, that would be good.
I can remember thinking/typing/reading those kind of things.
Most of us (not 43 and a couple of others!) would have laughed at setting the goals to what they have actually accomplished so far.
