That confrontational enough. :laughing Ok, maybe not.. BUT... on my recent trip to Napa, 7 hour round trip, I listened to Apple Music's 60's station it was GREAT. No, I didn't like every single song but I liked most of them! Funny thing: Some songs from the 60's that I felt were "so so" then I found myself loving today! I don't listen to todays music much... only when forcedby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

I first found Uranus and Neptune using my telescope. I felt like Galileo. :laughing BUT... I think the most impressed I was with spotting a heavenly object did not come by telescope.... happened with the naked eye. It was finding the Andromeda Galaxy, which is visible with the naked eye if conditions are right. This happened many, MANY years ago... I think I was in grade school.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
When I read your reply subject I knew, (as we all did), a joke lie ahead, or a pun. SO..... Rather than read your reply I played a little game with myself - "What is Ramgator going to come up with?". I thought, and thought... and to my complete shame I never thought of Napa auto parts. That's pitiful... I mean, could it have been any more obvious? - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
:laughing As a society I think we don't do that often enough. Amazing what you can learn by 'listening'. About 3 years ago I was visiting the father of one of my best friends. He suffered from Dementia. His family told me before I visited with him that he might not remember me... but he did. while visiting I stuck with tales about the past that we had shared... and in that way his memoryby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
or perhaps I should say 'quantify'. But it is "Real". At least it's something I 'firmly' believe is real. I have often been fooled while watching HS and College players during games. I'll watch them and think, "This guy is lightening fast". Then later in the year I'll see them competing in Track & Field and discover that other athletes they ran away from in Footbaby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

This is a guy I saw often simply because he played for ND, my son-in-laws favorite college team... and one of my top favorites... Unfortunately I haven't developed, (not that I'm trying), that ability to view college games/players thinking "NFL Prospect?". So with that said, this guy impressed me, more than a few times. In fact... i remember it was him that inspired me to turn tby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

As for the quality of the meals: I can't help comparing 'great rated restaurants' to all the restaurants in the world where I've dined.... so if I just think "California" then I'd say yes, it was about as good as I've had here. But including the rest of the USA and the World then no... I've eaten in better places, (just my opinion). Better and much cheaper as well. But this is comby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I think just about anyone would love Napa. Beautiful locale, downtown shops. Me? not so much. :laughing But my reason isn't important.... what bothered me would bother few others. Congestion. I don't know if there was some type of festival going on, Holiday I forgot about? The traffic and people gave me claustrophobia. Even the traffic on I-5, (which I travel often), was extremelyby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
It was an excellent restaurant. Best meal I've ever had? No. EXTREMELY expensive but what isn't right now? I had Linguini with clams, mussels, shrimp. Polenta as an appetizer. Bottle of Chianti (that was VERY good). Most of my family got the Risotto.... which I would have gotten had it been Lamb Risotto day but it was Chicken Risotto day and I'm not a big fan of chicken. Two weeks ago my daughter, and her husband, spent the night in Napa, Ca. While there they ate at what my daughter is saying is "The best restaurant in the world".... so since then she has been demanding to return, with all the rest of us. Soooooo.... 3.5 hour drive to eat then 3.5 hour drive home and the only reason "Food". :laughing All I can say is the food better beby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
BUT... I do have doubts, strong ones actually. I don't know that we've seen the Ram coaches put that much effort into Tutu as yet.... for a very simple reason - so far there has been no real need UNLESS he was always meant to be a ST Returner... which may be the case, I just don't know. That said, we may find out this year. Woods is gone, OBJ wouldn't return until mid-season.... From what Iby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
But my attitude regarding the totality of "Rams Football" is different today than it was 5, 6 years ago. At that time the lingering effect of those horrific losing streaks of the 90's and then again in the 2000's were very much on my mind.... a foul taste in my mouth. BUT... I want to point out that even with those two losing streaks I never thought of the Rams as 'losers'.... neveby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
The degree to which it happens can differ but the result of being given a silver spoon at birth, or later, I think extends far beyond just 'fame'; fame, I think, just exaggerates it. More specifically to your question: I think the profession 'Rock Star' affords to some a higher degree of privilege, in general, than actors, or athletes. well, actually I DuckDuckGo'd it. It just didn't make sense to me.... still doesn't for that matter but I guess Johnny and Amber are getting a divorce. Now that is one NASTY divorce when crap like that comes out... (again, no pun intended, well, yes it was). - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Posted by a friend of mine on a social media site..... Apparently Amber Heard, (actress I guess, I don't know her), defecated in Johnny Depp's bed? Now this struck me as interesting. :laughing And it raised some questions.... 1st - how would anyone know about that to report it? I can't imagine Depp and certainly not Amber, whoever she is, boasting about it? :laughing Secondly... ifby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
:laughing I'll keep it short. There is an old air field used to train Pilots during WWII about 20 miles from me. Eagles Field... I've posted about it before. Some years ago I was out rummaging thru the ruins and came across an old black and while photo of an airman and a young lady.. perhaps his wife, girlfriend? 2nd time thru it and I think I liked it more the 2nd time. :laughing I saw Downtown Abby once... the first episode... not sure why I didn't follow up... I remember liking it ok. I watch many of the English murder mystery TV series I get with "Britbox". Those are quite fun. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
At least that's what I've always heard.... sounds worse than the hangover to me. I don't think the Ram's have peaked. Hence, I think they may escape that SB Hangover because they KNOW they have to make some improvements.... it's obvious. sorry if this has been posted... I scanned the board and didn't notice if so. Daryle was one of those QB little recognized by the public for his accomplishments... or at least mostly forgotten about today. That's sad, the man was a force to be reckoned with. I do not wear graphic anything most of the time. When I'm out walking/running I have some T-Shirts I wear that say something but I can't tell you what because I've never read them... or if I did I don't remember. :laughing I do wear sports gear to all sporting events.... which in my case, and unfortunately, is mostly Red... since that's my grandkids' HS Colors... but when I do go to say theby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I was wearing my Ram's gear, (of course). The guy giving us the tour was wearing a Packer's jersey. I asked him about that... not expecting to see any NFL gear worn by Irish citizens. He had gone to college somewhere in Wisconsin, (I don't remember where).... got addicted to the NFL, and the Packers. that the way the NFL is structured today many, probably most, teams are not actually playing to win the Lombardi. They would 'take a SB victory', for sure, but they aren't all in like the perennials... Steelers, Cowboys, Packers, Niners, and now, I think, our Rams.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I haven't seen, as yet, more Rams gear on display but then I didn't expect too. Most fans around here have long ago chosen a team. As for young fans... Most of them are more specific 'player' oriented than 'team' oriented. So I've talked to many who love Stafford, Kupp, Donald, Ramsey, (etc), but to my knowledge none became Ram fans.... I think that's an ongoing process. It takes time. Tby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
