Or, at least that was the argument earlier in the season. But I agree...that was brutal and we were fortunate to be playing against a team with an inept offense. A couple of things: 1) McVay may, in fact, have learned to address this front. But our inexperienced OL and/or depleted roster may have hindered execution. 2) Addressing it may be possible against the likes of Carolina, but Chby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteSpeed_Kills <snipped> Limit Goff passes .... dont put too much on him and let the run game win it Easily McVay’s best coached game offensively this year given the circumstances I agree. But as accurate as it was, it's difficult to imagine "limiting" Goff given the team's financial commitment. Have to say, though...he did make (I think) 4 VERY GOOD passes tonight.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeeeaaaahhhhhh...Coach McVay/organization have some explaining to do. If they felt they had a shaky QB coming into this game (and they did) and believed they needed to ride Gurley tonight (which they did), where was this "backs up against the wall" sentiment in the Super Bowl, WHEN IT REALLY MATTERED?by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteDeadpool You don't save a RB for later when you are in must win mode or risk being 5 games back of SF with 7 to play. There is almost literally no tomorrow if you lose and 2 tougher defenses coming up. Its all hands on deck. QuoteAlbaNY_Ram <snipped> So lets go back in time and play a few games a year in LA between 1995 and 2015. How would that have helped the Rams build a fan base for 2016 thru 2019? To my way of thinking bringing the Bears, Packers, Chiefs, etc. to LA on a regular basis would have built their fan bases up to the detriment of the Rams. Am I missing something? I completely agree. For one, it would continue the NFL's trend towards "player safety" (not to mention the officials who, likely, might be more susceptible to heat-related issues). The other thing, as you personally alluded to, is that I believe it'd make for a better fan experience.
