a little Jeter story

After attending the 1986 opener between the Rams and Cardinals in St. Louis, I was standing outside the stadium as the Rams came out. I got autographs from Eric Dickerson, Dennis Harrah, and others. When Jeter walked by, I said very enthusiastically, "Nice game, Jeter!" I could tell that he really appreciated that one of the fans recognized that he had played well and that he wasn't expecting it.
