I agree with this . . . A lot of QBs would be successful playing with the Lion's offense There is no way Goff leads the Rams down the field to win Super Bowl with the 3rd/4th? string TE, 5th? string WR, little run game with Allen / Edwards on the line and journeymen RBs (no disrespect, I thank them for their service - I'm just saying) and Kupp being tightly watched. But I know one QB whby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com

Old School: "IMHO......Stafford is a top 3-5 QB in the NFL and there's no room for discussion. #9 gets the job done....PERIOD.....END OF STORY! He'll be the Rams QB for the next 3-5 years....Prediction he will win 2 more SB's with the Rams before he retires." I Agree. In the Stafford film on ESPN, he said he would like to win 2 more Super Bowls. I am good with this.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
The niners are older and defenses have learned from KC, etc how to defend them/Purdy (I hope): - do what you must to limit their run game (their line is their weakest area) - put a spy on Purdy (he makes a lot of big plays with his legs) - could of used Payton Wilson and his speed - make him beat you with his arm / throw the ball to the sidelines and deep down the field (arm is not that strongby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Good for the Rams that the Lions are paying top $ for their QB giving less to sign free agents. And in my opinion, a QB who will not lead you on a game winning drive with 5:00 to play in the Super Bowl with 2/3 of his receivers out with injuries. Same goes for the 49ers - soon paying top $ to a QB who you can't rely on to lead the game winning drive in a Super Bowl/big playoff game. The Raby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
I know it's not a ton (in NFL terms) of $, but why would the rams give Fiske more $ than any other 2nd round pick . . . ever? . . . or did I read the story wrong?by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Then I looked up his stats from last year. In his last 5 games . . . targeted 57 times, caught 44 (77%) 568 yards and 5 TDs If he'd done that over 15 games (say at Washington with Penix at QB) . . . . . . he would have had 1700 yards and 15 TDs When you look at production numbers, Stoops and Roman Wilson are very close. Just don't look at athleticism numbers because Stoops is wby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Which represented the best value: Round 1: No. 19- Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State Round 2: (from CAR through NYG)- Braden Fiske, DT, Florida State Round 3: No. 83-Blake Corum, RB, Michigan Round 3: No. 99 (Compensatory)- Kamren Kinchens, S, Miami Round 5: No. 154-Brennan Jackson, EDGE, Washington State Round 6: No. 196-Tyler Davis, DT, Clemson Round 6: No. 209 (Compensatory)- Joshua Kaby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Payton Wilson chasing at 23.7 mph?!?! Could we use a LB like this against the niners? I hope we draft one next year now that we have plugged most of our holes.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
This makes sense to me. 1. Murphy was the best DT in the draft. 2. The Rams #1 need was DT/Edge (not TE or QB - the other trade up rumors) 3. They had lost out on drafting their first choice - Latu 4. They thought Murphy was more valuable at that point than Verse, Chop R or Turner (also available at 16) 5. They were happy getting Murphy at 16 and then . . . Kneeland, Elliss, Braswell, etcby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Corum had a sprained MCL and "torn meniscus"? I think sprained MCLs heal back to normal? A "torn meniscus" can mean many things depending on severity? LaDoc . . . can you help with Corum's past injury?by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Renfrow but tougher means . . . a slot who catches everything, especially on 3rd and 4 in crucial situations. A guy Brady would love - a guy who keeps drives moving. Yeh, I think we would take a WR like that. What do you think of Laap? He has some real good numbers against lower competition with good measurables.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Was Fiske the best choice at DL?by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
21/198 says to me he was top 11% in the country at least in the run stop % stat. Other ranking in run stop %: 1. Pheldarius Payne (why didn't we get him as UDFA?) 2. Sweat 3. Jenkins 9. Lovett 17. Murphy 21. Fiske 40. Tyler Davis 47. Newton 48. Hallby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
"How about less opponents coming off the bye How about not playing 3 road games in a row etc" Last year's schedule was "unfair" to the Rams in the above areas. I just want every team to have the same up and down schedule as the Rams. No advantage/no disadvantage. As far as cold weather, it might be good to get a game or two in some poor weather as we might end up in Grby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Here are some numbers/measurements from the internet comparing 2024 Ram draft picks/UDFA to NFL stars. Initial comments from the chart: 1. Corum should be a stud for the Rams. 1A. Verse/Fiske should be solid, but not Kobie Turner level 2. Whittington's numbers are pretty solid 3. Limmer's numbers are closer to Humphrey than I would think 4. The DL have been working on their BP 5. I thiby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
"seems like Rams (a) didn't want to trade or (b) no one would deal (c) they think Kitchens is better than you think and/or Wilson is not quite as good as you think ---- for their system." You're right, at least one and maybe all of the above are true. I wish the Rams/other teams would let the world know what they know about Wilson's knee(s), but will never happen. So I'm left tby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
After Corum at 83 (which I think was a great pick - he will outplay Kyren), Wilson kept dropping. Our 6th round picks were worth 3 points each which was good enough to get to #94 - #98 from #99 and take Wilson. I understand the ACL issue. If Wilson plays like he did this past year at NC St, he will be worth a 3rd rounder and more. I also understand what he did on the field when I watched NCby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Payton Wilson is a game changer at LB. He flies all over the field. He was 2nd in the NCAA in coverage and I can see him covering Kittle/Kelce types easily as well as tracking Deebo/over the middle types - something we have lacked at LB for quite a while. He doesn't miss tackles (no more Deebo running through our defense), was a captain? and next to Jones would have been a force. I thinkby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
With Stafford, the Rams can win this year and for 2 - 3 others? if team needs are filled. Therefore, I believe the Rams had two major needs/wants as the draft started, Edge and DT - not TE/QB/other. I think their desired players were Latu, Murphy, Verse/Turner, Newton/Fiske. Obviously there were others, but I think those were the top. I think they wanted edge first because DT was the deeperby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Would Kyle Van Noy fit as 2nd LB next to Jones or is he just an edge? He's older and maybe slower now, but cheap, had a good year at Baltimore and good veteran presence I think he's still available as FA ?by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
If you don't have the athletic, you should get it. It is 1.99/month for the first year. That includes Brugler's "The Beast" draft report and articles like this you will not get anywhere else.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
Deebo and others may have been exposed as WRs that have a tough time against good man to man DBs in the Super Bowl. Therefore they felt the need to draft not 1, but 2 of the best WRs vs. man to man coverage. Cowing was #2/124 vs. man in 2022 and #34/155 in 2023. Pearsall was 25/124 vs. man in 2022 and #43/155 in 2023. For the Rams, Wiglusz was #1/124 vs. man in 2022 and #32/155 vs. manby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
I heard this on Cowherd's show. Teams sent out comments/rumors to the press about how they felt Penix would fall to maybe late 2nd? Press printed the story of course, making some teams antsy about Penix. All the while, the rumor spreaders were figuring out how they could get Penix in the 1st - even the Falcons obviously.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
I know about the "medical issues", but watch the guy play and it's eye opening. He is all over the field and seems to never miss a tackle. Sure would have been a great add next to Jones. His 4.43 on the 40 yard dash is faster than many DBs. Will be able to cover any TE and many slot WR if needed. His body may "give out" after a while ala Gurley, but he will playby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
The other thing when comparing times, etc. look at the weight they're carrying around. At the combine when they tested, their weights were: Garrett - 272 Verse - 254 (-18 lbs) Miller - 246 (-26 lbs) For Garrett to record his times/numbers at 272 lbs. is incredible.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
. . . Myles Garrett. Which is fine, because Myles Garrett is the best DE/Edge in the league. Nobody is as good as Myles Garrett right now.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
If he makes the team, I think he would be one of the top 15 strongest guys in the league? - at least upper body strength. As I said before, it looks like he could gain an "easy" 15 lbs to get to 335 and clog the middle on early downs ? But judging from the photos, he may be more into body building than football ? Maybe if AD could show him some technique stuff . . . who knows whaby since68 - RamsFootballFans.com

This guy appears to be very lean for 320 lbs ? The Rams could get him up to 335 and let the niners try to move him? Or at least we'd know who they would have to 2B team.by since68 - RamsFootballFans.com
