You don't see some trepidation about Stan and his ability to run a successful franchise? Now zn, that simply can NOT be true. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think so...we may be defining 'minions' differently.. for me it's more of a 'kiss @##'... they don't really coach, they mimic, or in a better 'light', as sometimes happen, they are able to effectively translate the coaches philosophy into good results.. that may be Bellichick, granted.. I don't think so. I don't think Bellichick plays a 'system', per se. I think he plays his players...by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Faulk always seemed to me to be quite intelligent, insightful, not just one of the best players in history but a student of the game as well. That doesn't mean he'd make a good coach, however... but I was surprised he never attempted it.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I have flown in: A P51 (several of them) A B17 AND a B20 Bomber. A P38, WITH Bob Hoover as PIC. Many, MANY T6's.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I'm absolutely sure someone can post 'stat's' to indicate there was worse... I don't think so. Context. I also think a big reason for that was self-inflicted. Many do not... but sstrams does, and that's all that mattters. :spintoungeby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
but that really wasn't my point. :spintounge There is a great anxiety about Stan.. true? You, several others, said 'no way before the end of the season'.. yet Fisher was fired. I think I said it, (can't remember for sure... no matter, I'm adding myself to that list retroactively)... That's my point, not Harbaugh. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
but, admittedly, I don't follow this stuff nearly as closely as you guys.. but everything I read leads me to believe getting Harbaugh is tantamount to getting Jack Nicholson to star in your home movie. BTW.. this is NOT critique of Harbaugh... but I wonder.... IF, big IF, that were to happen... how would that reflect on Stan? And for those who already have written Stan's ability off?by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
in all these HC discussions I've been wondering what type of HC the Ram's should look for.... and beyond that, what type of HC actually 'works' in the NFL today - - One who brings in the full plan and simply needs minions? I think Fisher was in this category, as are most of today's NFL coaches... and it can work - - OR... Or one who brings in a rough drawing and then brilliant Asst's whoby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
that's an 'art' I do not have talent for. I wish I did. When I was a kid many of the kids I grew up with put together models... mostly WWII aircraft, (a passion of mine).. and they were beautiful. I couldn't do it... couldn't get the hang of the 'glue'... soon as I opened the tube it was everywhere.. and not just the model itself... the walls, the table, the floor, my hands for the next montby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
you state it better than I tried to... I don't trust these guys to get it right. Although, I'm not as down on Stan's ability to 'get it right' as most. I really don't know right now. I DO think that since Stan has been the guy in charge the 'move' was a huge factor. He was NOT able to build a winning team during that time... I think other owners could have.. but not many... so I can sympaby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I did, after that conversation, see "Walk The Line".... but that was it for Reese, for me.. last thing I saw her in. NOT because I'm boycotting her, not in the least... just hasn't happened. Here's my 'curmudgeonly' contribution to this: I really don't see many great actors these days... I see great editing, brilliant directing occasionally, 'making' an actor good when they actuaby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
not like I am today... even though the situation was 'similar'... not quite the same, for me anyway, even though the record was 'identical'? I didn't check. Ya gotta look at it from my perspective... 99' came about after a mere 'decade' of poor performance. It was bad... it had not, at that time, taken the luster of the Rams for me. Now, with an extremely brief respite.... a GREAT oneby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
very good friend of mine did some acting... still does, I think. In fact, my first motorcycle trip back to St. Louis for a HerdFest and game I left early Monday morning to go visit with him in Alabama... and on that visit is where I heard this Reese story. Danny, my friend, and I were/are both actors. So when we get together we always talk 'acting', 'movies'.... and during the evening I askeby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I did... not worth it at all. Frankly... after the first 10 minutes I'm not sure they used the 3D at all... except for some rocks in the foreground of several scenes. Well, I'm sure they DID use it but not very noticeably... except for the first 10 minutes I can't remember a single scene in the movie where I thought "Wow, good 3D". Odd for Disney to do that. IMDB states that many of his lines were ad-libbed. Not sure how true that is but it's not hard to believe. Whatever, I agree... he worked in perfectly.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
that the movie should have been about C3PO and R2D2? :confused Not sure how you came up with that. No.. my point was.... R2D2 was the final 'handoff', if you will. No less than Princess Leia who WAS given screen time.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
there has to be a beginning.. and they've taken it. That's joyous, no doubt about it. BUT... it's the 'game' for me, I'm not a big off season fan... draft, FA'cy signings, all good but... geez, how do I explain? Here you go: I like salad... but as John Pinette says "Salad is a promissory note that food will soon arrive".... it's good, but I'm waiting for my main entree. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Because for most of you this off season looms as the most exciting in some time.... new HC, Asst's, probably a lot of player turnover. Unfortunately... while I 'get' that... for me it's going to feel like standing in line at the DMV. I'm impatient. I didn't think it was a great movie... and I think they screwed up BIG TIME, (I'll get to it)... but overall I was entertained. Some spoilers coming up: Don't read this if you haven't seen the movie and intend to see it. I got quite misty eyed when Carrie made her appearance. No fault of the movie, obviously... but her onscreen appearance really caused one to exit the world of "Staby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

going through her bio came across a tidbit that was simply delectable. Unique as well... so unique I believe I have ever seen it before. Listed in her life's accomplishments is the following.... wondering if any of you can claim the same: "Once castrated a donkey". Not going to be televised today. I'll be following on the web. My bold prediction for today: Fisher will pull a "Shooter" today, (from the movie Hoosiers), stumbling onto the field during the game in a drunken stupor wailing and cursing and waving his arms wildly cursing Stan, the fans, the peanut vendors, and thus winning the hearts of the media putting him in the running for Time Mby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
because it's boring.... I just read big numbers in the headlines... so the $14 mil didn't really mean much to me. Is that a lot today? I would have thought it was minimum wage. Your best guess... when do we see the very first 'gajillion' dollar contract? - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

William Christopher. Like I said earlier... perhaps this isn't the worst year ever for artists but I can't remember a year so filled with sadness.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
The 'much' adjective, anyway. Never before this year did I watch the combine more intently... there were two that distinguished themselves far more than the others. Wentz and Goff... and admittedly, IMHO anyway, Wentz the most.. and by a good margin. But Goff was 2nd, in my estimation.... and he didn't do that by having 'noodle arm' or not completing throws that only a pro can make... He DIDby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I have no common ground with anyone who thinks that to even begin a discussion. It's the "one" thing I know for sure Goff doesn't have and in fact has just the opposite. HOWEVER... those bad passes he throws? True. But they aren't from a noodle arm.... - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
the newest "Jungle Book" movie was? Incredible. Although, sorry to say, the 'theme song'... "Bare Necessities" was better in the original.. Phil Harris singing... it can't be topped.
