very good friend of mine did some acting... still does, I think. In fact, my first motorcycle trip back to St. Louis for a HerdFest and game I left early Monday morning to go visit with him in Alabama... and on that visit is where I heard this Reese story.
Danny, my friend, and I were/are both actors. So when we get together we always talk 'acting', 'movies'.... and during the evening I asked him about 'young' actors... one male, one female, he thought showed a lot of talent/promise - he had just appeared with Reese in the movie "Walk The Line". He played her Dad in that movie. Small role. I had not seen the movie at the time of this conversation.. but I had seen Reese... so I offered, "Reese seems pretty good to me.. too early to say but I think she has talent".
Danny's reply: "Yeah, I'm not sure. She's so darned cute I'm not sure she can act or if I just didn't care". Good review, IMHO... lot of actors like that... seems to me. NOT referring to Reese here but a lot of actors I just 'like' on screen but don't really see much talent. - JamesJM
