I don't see any team, including the Rams, as dominant this year. I do see teams that can, when needed, adjust - not make as many critical mistakes - have big play capability in crunch time... which DOES include the Rams. I don't see any playoff game... from wild card weekend thru Conference championships... being a 'gimme'.. no matter the matchup.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
not that they aren't playing ok... and getting better.. BUT... after winning the valley championship last year and losing only one true starter... returning both our 'big' guys... I was expecting better. My grandson moved into the missing spot... he's doing ok... very good at assists and ok at 3Pt'rs but not nearly what we had last year with the kid we lost. There is some team turmoil goingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I can only explain that has having a "God Given Gift". Jack Benny was like that. Stan Laurel. And there are some today as well... They can simply appear on camera and you'll giggle. And I do not think it's just 'me'. Not too long ago I wrote about watching "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, World" with my grandsons... and they loved it. Should be a great game for the State Title next week vs Lawndale... wherever in the hell Lawndale is. I figured Central was in for a tough game vs Folsom.. but giving up 84pts? I never expected that.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Because I just don't find Will Farrell that funny. Yes, I laugh occasionally.. and I don't 'dislike' him at all... just - not - that - funny to me and he's probably the most popular comedic actor today. I have seen ELF... LOVE Bob Newhart. I enjoyed the movie... not that memorable to me but fun to watch with my grandkids.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I will keep this as short as I can. On July 20th, 1969 I was walking down Via Veneto in Rome.... whispers grew into cheers as Neil was about to set foot on the moon. We found an outdoor cafe with a TV set up for people on the street.... and watched. I was part of a college group touring Europe led by my Drama professor and his wife.. Bill and Barbara. They had a daughter, Cathy... also in tby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

that I've lost count. Never anything that I felt in real danger, however. One made a false charge at me once, but it was a very small bear. The scariest took place on my very first "true" backpacking trip. I had hung my food, (counter balanced from a tree limb, which back then was standard procedure), about 100' from my sleeping bag. I wasn't using a tent that night, I seldom sby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

extremely rare. Most are 100-150. But it's not the size as much as it is the fact that don't mess with anything that can truly fight back. They'll give it up.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Yeah, I read about those deaths. I meant I know of no one 'personally' that has been attacked. There was lady who was killed just a few year's ago... can't remember exactly where but it was north... I think near Sacramento, in one of those towns in the foothills. She was running along a trail.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
For a grown man the danger from a mountain lion, cougar, is very VERY low. Like most animals their first instinct is to get as far from you as possible. There are exceptions, of course... but very few. Once they establish themselves in close proximity to humans their shyness abates, somewhat. A full grown man could most likely fight off a mountain lion... a child no. In my close eby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
A sudden turn around, I believe, always tends to make one believe something 'magical' has occurred... a new Brady, a new Dickerson, a new Rice.... but maybe, just maybe... it's a team that has come together and realizes it takes hard work... in training camp, in preseason, and for each an every game in during the season no matter who the opponent is.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
you're right... and I'm loving it... what I mean is the 'respect'... or more appropriate the 'esteem' in which they hold those teams. To me there is a notable difference. It's NOT that they aren't loving the Rams this year... probably some are even pulling for them.... but they still aren't, IMHO, held in the same esteem as those others *IN GENERAL*. It's the same every year... until the 'favorites' are 100% eliminated the media focus is on them... Steelers, Packers, Cowboys, Patriots. I believe there exists a notable difference in 'respect' between those 'media favorites' and the 'rest'. Steelers, Packers, Cowboys, Patriots = real football... the others? Interesting contenders but outsiders.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

I watched that game with one of my grandson's who is a Charger fan.... and by that I mean a 'real' fan... in that he lives and breathes them... has liked him since he was about 4 and has never wavered to this day.. he's now 13. In his eyes, and vicariously in mine... that was an AMAZING and thrilling game. When the Chargers scored to get within 10 he was pleading with the TV to go for two.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
unless they played football once I don't think there are more than a handful of announcers that I can identify by 'looks'. Every time an 'announcer thread' comes up I have to google them to put the name to a face... "Oh, ok, that guy". And it gets worse... I don't retain that identification... mention whomever's name again in two weeks and I have to look him up again. You'reby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
attended HerdFest West? You should be proud, darned proud. Even back when I was a workout fanatic I never ran in a marathon... I missed out. Just a great day... I won't go into it... and it included a Division TITLE. I'm sorry... you'll have to do without my negativity for today, and probably the rest of this week. but I have very good excuse... at least I think it's a good excuse. Two dear friends of mine... husband and wife, and parents to one of my best friends (who passed away a couple of years ago)... are growing old. Near 90.
