Quotemoklerman Do they show the percentages? 80 total is directly related to throwing it more than anyone else too(or maybe second most attempts). Also, relying on PFF for subjective stats is a bit dicey. I don't trust that they are identifying "pressure" accurately. Hits and sacks seem like better numbers to examine. Less perception involved. QuoteLMU93 Where are pressures/pressure rates stats listed? I haven't seen them and sites I tend to follow don't list them. Other than sacks/sack % the only thing I see is QB hits. Rams defense has 15 through 4 games and Seattle has 13. PFF is the only site I know that tracks it. Here is what they have: Rams lead the league in pressures allowed. 185 pass dropbacks, 76 total pressures brokenby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
But they are probably the worst right now. PFF is just giving a snapshot of what exists right now. Do you know another team that's given up 50% plus pressure on QB dropbacks in the first 4 weeks?by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Quote21Dog Quotedzrams I think Peters was looking for help over the top. He was fuming after the play. He looked like he was going to sit on that route which only makes sense if he thought he was getting safety help. Either he blew the call or a safety did. He just now appears to have taken a step up in that ability. It's absurd to compare him to all time greats in that department. Would we not be elated if our QB was as good as Wilson? QuoteSteve So, if P Manning or Brady or Brees had the worst line in the NFL, how would they look? In my mind: Not as good as Goff has looked in McVay's "hold the ball" system, that is for sure. Brady and Manning never were tough, and Brees would be weak arming it to RBs the whole time. Quoteleafnose 17) Peters on the Evans TD. Dude. I saw a run package come in for the Bucs. The Rams kept a base type defense on the field, and they were outcoached right there. Agreed. We did see some short passing game and we scored 40. We need to continue to see that. The issue yesterday of course was the 68 pass attempts. As you stated, that's not good for the OL. I expect them to return to a balanced attack but hope mixing in the short passing game continues.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotepromomasterj So that's looking on the bright side when evaluating Goff. Watson, Prescott, and Jackson all posted subpar numbers and lost their games against those defenses yesterday. A glimmer of hope? I don't think we should get too down about this loss. The team is 3-1 and to your point, that's against one of the hardest schedules so far in the league. Everyone is talking about the offense and its ailments. It seems 80% of the conversation is about that. Is it the OL? Is it Gurley? Is it Goff? Is it McVay? Are we forgetting that we scored 40 points? I think we need to start talking about the defense.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com

Quoteden-the-coach Quotemax But the bottom line why when you have Gurley and he just gained 9 yards on the previous play do you throw the ball where you have to be very accurate or risk turnover. QuoteRams43 How many times must we be reminded of this? My eyes tell me a different story than what these PFF grades suggest. I don't believe PFF grades need to be taken with salt. I think they've pretty much won the battle that there is, at the very least, quite a bit of merit to what they do. Quotekw13 The only fault in this logic is that I'm not sold we are a great defense. We tend to give up tons of plays, but get turoveturnovers at opportune times.
