The only fault in this logic is that I'm not sold we are a great defense. We tend to give up tons of plays, but get turoveturnovers at opportune times. If you recall, we had a stretch last year of 8 straight games where we got a turn over on the opponents first drive. May have had something to do with our success. We also got a turnover against the Saints on their first drive this season.
But I remember heading into the playoffs thinking "one of these days we're not going to get that turnover and have to play straight up".
Definitely talented on D, but I am very surprised teams don't score more on us given our weakness in the middle against.
And our offense has lost it's identity. Juggernaut we are not.
If I had to define our whole team in one word I would say scrappy.
Not sure that's the word I would prefer our team to be...
On our defense this year, I don't think we've given up a ton of plays.
There was 1 or 2 big plays the Browns got. Other than that, shut down. The Saints were pretty much shut down.
McCaffrey did some damage but I don't believe they had a ton of big plays either.
This year's identity has not been giving up a ton of big plays with an opportune turnover.
