Fair enough. From a tactical standpoint, you make it sound like there is nothing that can be done. My question to you is, why is Wade so eager to have him in the D (it appears the Rams have strong interest and maybe some type of bidding war is going on) and you're not? You've been arguing the 'why it won't work', 'square peg, round hole' side. Why don't you tell me the other side; whyby dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com

You don't know that it is about maximum money. Visiting losing teams with lots of cap space could just as easily be a way to extract every dollar from a winning team. Just sit tight. We don't know until we know.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com

That's a funny and very apt story. I too think Wade would find a way... wasn't the '85 "Bear" front defense an innovation at that time? Maybe, just maybe, Wade does something we've never seen before.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteBlue and Gold Quotedzrams I disagree that the Rams coaches are getting caught up in the buzz like fans. They're making this move because they think it's good for football. Snead himself has said they made those changes to create the D in Wade's image. He said a LB in Wade's system isn't nearly as important as CBs hence why they were comfortable trading AO. They are gonna get Wade the players he wants. If Wade doesn't prioritize ILBs, they're not drafting one in the 1st round. Yeah, Snead is the GM and he's too smart to force players on his coaches.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn Quotedzrams If they did sign Suh, and assume they draft an edge rusher fairly early in the draft, how good do you think the D would be? I think we'd be in bidness too! The reason I ask is because, if the D becomes dominant, the O can afford to slide a little from their league leading pace of last year right? How many games can they win with a dominant D and an O that's now without a big piece but presumably should have improvement from some young players like Goff, Kupp, Reynolds, and Everett?by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com

I agree that McVay is awesome and performed a miracle by the season one turnaround. But I also agree with Je that winning for one year doesn't mean he's Teflon. He's not Belichik yet. I get your stance. I tend to think though that all players are wants...with the exception of QBs. Where I do resonate with what you're saying is on the respect for McVay and how he turned the offense around so quickly. That's encouraging and breeds confidence that he knows what he's doing as you stated. Quoteferragamo79 I'm sure they wanted Watkins back, but didn't want to over pay.Teams sometimes lose players because of that. Overpaying players all the time is not good for the franchise. This take I fully agree with. One question though. While overpaying all the time isn't good, the Rams have overpaid several times on players that were pretty good but not way above average or elite.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
That's my general rule. When at all possible, I go for the elite. I'd rather have one elite free agent and one UDFA than two average free agents. Suh everyday.by dzrams - RamsFootballFans.com
