Quote3030 So when Coen gets a head coaching offer at the end of next season Gruden takes over? Sean being proactive about losing his coaching staff. Maybe or maybe not. He has Greg Olson now on the staff too that could take over in that capacity. The question will loom, will Gruden be okay not calling the plays or is that the year McVay relinquishes those duties? Not sure, but eitherby den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com
Now that gives him an opportunity to become an OC for somebody next year as I don't believe he would take the job with the Rams because McVay calls the plays, but with all the OC's being given jobs under McVay especially if Liam Coen gets one, you might see Jay Gruden as the next OC in L.A., however, more likely to be paired with a defensive coach who gets a head coaching gig.by den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRidgewood Ram They are pretty stout at all positions, but maybe a backup Guard? I would, they could also make a trade too. Overall, if they see someone they like better then their internal options I believe they will make a claim.by den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLMU93 Rick Gosselin does annual aggregated special teams rankings using 22 categories. In 2021 he ranked the Rams 16th overall. Football Outsiders ranked Rams' special teams 4th overall. In both cases (and I think we all saw this) their special teams started the year pretty poorly but by the 2nd half of the year were in the upper tier of the league. This is true and IMO, everything cameby den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamstien Some of these cuts are really going to hurt this year but I think Brewer and Williams both have a good chance of making the team. Haley would too if the Rams were not so deep in the secondary. Chandler Brewer looked really good in 2019, he opted out in 2020 and last season struggled during preseason, maybe just a year away from playing football. This year, he's looked good at tby den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com

This really is a downer as early memories of Len Dawson with Henry Lewis Stram & the Kanas City Chiefs. Dawson always said when he came to the sidelines and Stram was yelling "Leonard, Leonard." He knew he was in trouble, but when he bellowed "Lenny" he knew all was well. A great Quarterback, ambassador for the game plus an upper echelon analyst on HBO Inside the NFL. Had a 45.7 average with 3 kicks inside the 20, it's not his fault the return team also has a bunch of players that will not be part of the coverage units.by den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotestlramz And it's why he is five and O in season opener's. He really is a brilliant coach and if you give him five months to prepare for one team, that one team is dead. Rams win going away. Their defensive line is huge plus their offense has a great WR in Diggs & an under the radar guy in Gabriel Davis. IMO, bad matchup for Rams because the Rams Offensive Line is smaller with Allen & Shelton so the ability to run the football will be mostly non existent. Add in Allen and it makes for one hell of a team IMHO. On top of that is they are playing most of their starterby den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com
Really didn't go into detail of what McVay truly intends. If the Rams keep 2 TE's it's obvious that they wanted to keep McCutcheon & Harris with the WR as McVay mentions (Kupp) being able to play the TE role along with an extra Offensive Lineman. Now it's possible the Rams love Roger Carter and they plan on using Carter as a TE/FB which McVay has not done yet, but it is something that's avaby den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotemax Evans is a 3rd round miss. It happens. Agreed Max, so just cut his ass.by den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com
You can't commuincate the Rams have not given Evans multiple opportuntites, it's time to cut bait. Over the years, Evans just seems to battle being in shape and does not have the footwork to hold up in pass protection nor the endurance to sustain his blocks in the run game. Arcuri offers more upside IMHO plus Evans seems to be hurting the Rams more then helping.by den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRamsdude QuoteCROMWELL21 Perez, Dicker, Ealy, Pettigrew and Dancy-Williams. No shockers in this group although did think we would keep Dicker the Kicker a bit longer. Two years ago would've been the Rams kicker over the likes of Sloman & others, however, Dixon is similar to Hekker (High School QB) plus very adept at holding, IMO, an upgrade over Hekker there. The fact they like Dicker and the fact he can do both, but Dixon & Gay are set with the hope of adding Dicker to the practice squad. Irony two years ago, we would have been raving about Dicker over the likes of Sloman, Hajrullahu & MacGinnis. Not sure if Dicker makes it to the practice squad because the Dallas Cowboys need a kicker as they have Hajrullahu & Brett Maher currently andby den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsFanSince69 Not living in the LA area, I got to watch the Rams-Chargers game on the NFL Network, where they used Chargers announcers. They were terrible, getting first down calls wrong and calling out every Charger by name/number, while conveniently not mentioning any Rams players. Ugh. Agreed on arm & processing, but there is no debating Perkins ability to extend plays and other players feed off of that as he showcases excellent leadership at the position too. Again, yes McCutcheon made some great catches, but Perkins also made plays too IMHO.by den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com
He was an epic fail at RG last season and in preseason was not good at all. It led to AJ Jackson being the first Tackle off the bench. IMO, unless Evans shines in preseason, they have the numbers to send him packing especially if Arcuri looks better.by den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com
Granted it's preseason, but some have buried Lance and nothing would make me more happy, but I need to see it with my own eyes and so far he's fine.by den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com

I don't think it's a bad thing that Shelton is ahead of him currently. Shelton played well last year, but I'm hoping to see how the kid has adjusted and his pass protection skills too. Austin Corbett was very good in pass pro, so if Bruss can showcase that skill I believe his run block will be an asset down the road.by den-the-coach - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteferragamo79 in 2 years with the Rams they rolled the dice on him and so far not much for 3rd rounder IDK before the Miller acquisition Lewis had a nice stretch of having a sack in like three or four straight games I believe. Perkins could be a better game QB then practice, however, his struggles currently is not being able to go through progressions of the play, when it breaks down, he takes off. Now Perkins does run well, but I think all of us was hoping that part of his game would improve Also he does not have the strongest arm, his deep ball floats and is usually off target.
