Is going to another board and pulling a conversation out of there to criticize it where the other poster has no ability to explain or retort. It comes across to me as seeking attention and maybe a bit like he's afraid to call the poster out there where the conversation can be seen and reacted to.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
It started with Gaines in there with more snaps. He upgraded us vs both run and pass. Then he kept getting better and is playing at a Pro Bowl type level. Shortly thereafter or maybe around the same time Robinson started to really flash. He also kept getting better and is peaking now after what he did in that SF game. Then Von Miller was like the icing on the cake. He puts this defenseby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
You have a guy who is so educated on the gameplan that he knows what each defense is trying to do. He knows from that where the soft spots will be. I think he's a modern day (bigger and stronger) Jerry Rice. Just that extra bit more prepared than everyone else. And he has a scheme and QB that can and will get him the ball.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
He is a great leader first off. Players listen when he speaks. That's really important in this era of everyone looking for a McVay. Some of these coordinators are really good but where they are going to come up short is being ready to be the pulse of the whole thing. I was watching a discussion on the 9ers OC who looks like some dude who would show up to install an antivirus on your computer,by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
So the Rams already drafted Reeder's replacement, he was just coming back off injury and they didn't want to install their defensive gameplan around him then have to change it if he can't go. Jones is the guy. He is the starter. Reeder will be back to depth in this Super Bowl game, where he should be. He's a very good LB off the bench, a near-starter if you will. Near-starter because of soby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
IMO after that 97 yard drive they knew it was a matter of time before the Rams took control. Gotta give them cred that they held out long as they did. Heck of a team there and I hear they can get great discounts on cruise lines right now.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteLMU93 In game one vs. SF, the RBs ran the ball fairly well- 9 carries for 51 yards. Problem was, of course, 9 attempts.... Game two, Michel had 21 carries for 43 yards. McVay was much smarter and stuck with it longer. In the first half the running game didn't generate much but it set up the pass simply because they kept running. Of course, 3rd and 1 and all that... Is that the Rams overlooked how important size/hands are with a guy like Stafford. 9 likes to throw contested catches and give his receivers a chance. It's risky but he's not gonna change as old as he is. So they should have identified guys who fit and adjusted their offense a bit. Skow showing so much is a great example of that. Not to mention that he's done a great job on teams as gunnerby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I imagine Ramsey's going to play well coming off that big TD he gave up. Wasn't a great game for him. But I feel like Akers is really important. Of course the OL and how they handle that front is going to be the story of this game, but Akers by extension I think is crucial. He needs to have a strong game. He has to turn it up big on those screens and the outlets he gets underneath and giveby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com

If Morris gets a job after the Super Bowl then McVay will be up against it with some of the best pieces off the board. One of the drawbacks of a long playoff run. Hopefully if he's gonna get an offer we'll know he has it earlier then McVay can firm things up with his replacement.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Their LG in particular 75 is one of the best young OGs you'll see on tape. He will stand up well to AD's strength even solo at times. Rams often move AD out to get away from him. And of course Shanny runs at AD and also ensures every pass is out very quick to neutralize him. As usual if the Rams defense can make JG hold the ball through his first couple reads he will get shredded by our dby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
He looks sick. It's hard to imagine that guy I saw on the sideline enduring the reshuffle that's coming. I think he came back for a second Super Bowl and this year the teams were better. He probably is taking a little time to think about whether he's got the energy to restack things because there's some roster change pending.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com

Should have been MVP too. But maybe that Lombardi makes up for it. :beercanby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
It's kind of cool to see the ex players get involved in it too. I don't think the league and fans properly appreciate what a great rivalry this is. This kind of stuff helps put it out there and get it talked about so the unwashed masses might get a little feel for what an amazing moment this is for both LA and SF.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
In the redzone. Had the RB lined up dead to rights in the HOLE and got shook. TD. Rams drafted Jones for that reason. :thumbsupby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
If you have a great defense you can be mediocre at QB. You can get that ball handed back to you enough to maybe make something happen in that tight game. Rams need to handle the Bucs first of course. But if we get past them we're gonna have to solve that defense. Maybe extra linemen idk. But we have to be able to slow that front and the penetration and if they can figure that out they'll hby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm sure it would be well received there.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I think part of that stat was due to health. They're tough to run on. Thing is the Rams don't really need to run on them. What they need to do is just keep it balanced. Make sure on early downs the Bucs aren't sure what's coming. When we get to third and longs, hopefully there won't be too many of them and hopefully the protections hold up. Because the Rams receivers will roast that secby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
It means they're sitting back and letting their front 4 get after the QB and basically disregarding the run. It would mean a light box and the Rams would run the ball into that look until the Bucs shift out. The concern would be what happens if the Rams can't get the run game going in that scenario, which is a worst case type situation. But I don't see that happening. Our run game is solid.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah and he ran a good bit of Cover 3 too with Atlanta and Quinn's approach. I didn't nuke their film admittedly but Cover 3 can look like Cover 1 at times when the call has the coverages mixed on the outside. Bottom line is Morris didn't have a lot of exposure to Cover 4 in his career. So he was very careful and erred on the side of preventing the big play early on. And as he has gotten moby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Which is to say the Fangio approach of heavy Cover 4. Their film has copious amounts of two deep safety looks and they move it around and change at the snap. Morris has the same basic playbook you just get a different feel from how he calls things. In Cover 4 for example you can have them sitting back with a quartered field. Or they can pattern match which looks like man underneath. It's aby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Great post and read thank you. Playoffs are so much more fun when you let yourself get caught up in them. Because we know the ending is coming and more often than not it's abrupt and miserable. So why not maximize the good side of it now by believing a little. So many things aligned for us, or seeming to be aligning on top of that. I think this team is good enough to get it done. That's something they have been doing all season with mixed results. I think McVay is trying to get Stafford to be efficient with the elite QB bag of tricks and his efficiency has been quite good over the past month and a half. Seems to me at least like we might be seeing fruition of at least some of those growing pains and if true that couldn't happen at a better time.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I think the window of need opens if we win this game this weekend. Both the 9ers and Packers are strong in the backfield and will isolate Reeder in space. Jones completely changes that equation. That's not to say we couldn't use him this weekend. We'd be a lot better off with him in there vs Tampa too. But if he's close this weekend I would be fine with rolling the dice and waiting one morby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
If this game was in August I'd say the home field will really be felt from that heat. Which is why they wear whites at home, to take advantage of making the other team roast in their dark jerseys. But this time of year you're probably talking 60ish degrees, which is comfortable and almost ideal football weather.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Akers is something man. Super competitive first off. Runs his mouth against the enemy and for his team and lifts them up. Can knife through seams or blow by dudes or run over guys who are bigger than him. When he's in there it just feels like his presence puts defenses on their heels. I honestly think it's the way he just attacks defenses. When a guy like Hendy has that moment of where heby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
