Akers is something man. Super competitive first off. Runs his mouth against the enemy and for his team and lifts them up. Can knife through seams or blow by dudes or run over guys who are bigger than him. When he's in there it just feels like his presence puts defenses on their heels.
I honestly think it's the way he just attacks defenses. When a guy like Hendy has that moment of where he's gonna run he'll dance around a bit if a seam isn't there and then run to daylight meaning the sideline. With Akers there is better vision, less delay, and he has a better feel for when to just mash ahead and take what's there.
And Michel has a lot of the same traits in terms of being efficient. He's quick to take what is there. Can power for more. DBs hate tackling him. I mean this one-two punch we have emerging right now is special IMO. Hope McVay keeps with the run game calls even if it's not efficient early on. Just stick with it and the yards will come.
