I too was confident. on the long kick he missed last week (63?) they had to rush out there as the clock was winding down. he didn't get his routine down. this time, he was able to go through his routine. I too was almost 100% confident. I just couldn't picture him missing it, I could only picture it going in. our perspective is a bit relative. for Goff, it was a great game. he did more than just manage the game, he made a few plays as the play was breaking down and also threw a few dimes to Cooks. on top of that he overcame the noise of the dome, the helmet communication issues, the early INT and being down 0-13 early to come back and the it up. however, if anyone saw Brady play, he made redicuby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com

was not a lot of time left in the game. after being down all game you have to tie it up there and take the FG. it was the right call, although hard to swallow not getting 7 there. we need to do better on the first 3 plays to punch it in and not have to question going for it on 4th down. maybe McVay should watch the Patriots film in the red zone and learn a few things.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com

I think Bones gets a lot of credit for having a good special teams, when the reality is that GZ and Hekker are great talents, and the return game is horrible. horrible discipline and decision making on punts and kick returns. jo jo is exciting, but not worth it. he is reckless. we just need a guy to secure the ball. not run 30 yards in a circle on punts. we seem to be doing a littby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com

the two side arms to Higby with a guy dragging on him were almost Mahomes-esque. (almost) add in some dimes to cooks and he really played well given the circumstances. he also showed some athletic ability on a couple of the roll outs to the right that usually end up a dead play. side comment: have to add that he hurt us by challenging the Saints fans to be more loud. on their first 2 drives. had more to do with their loss then a no call pass interference. also, they run the ball 3 times with 2 minutes to go instead of that low pass that hit the ground and they leave the Rams with no time outs and barely 1 minute to go. instead the Rams have 1:45 and a time out.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com

Higby dropped that 4th down pass, luckily we got a penalty. watching the saints game, Higby missed one right through his hands in the end zone. last year in the playoffs vs. ATL, he bobbled the catch in the end zone that would have brought us within 1 score with time outs and over 2 minutes to play. Charlie casserly showed how the cowboys were beaten by the run, and didn't stack the box. then he showed how the saints don't fall for all our motion, etc... we have a great O'line...especially run blocking. the key is to not get into 4th and goal. need to be more aggressive in the red zone and stop trying to pound the rock from the 20 yard line in. if you're on the 3 or 4 yard line, yes run it 4 times.by kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com

it makes me sick to my stomach to even consider another SB win for Tom Brady and then at our expense, I can't even imagine.. Sadly, I think the revenge of beating him would not be as great as the scar of losing to him again 20 years later. luckily Jarod Goff and Sean McVay don't know anything about our pain. the issue is not "why did they go for it" the issue is, why has McVay become Jeff Fisher in the red zone? the problem is that as you get closer the end zone, it gets tighter. harder to run, harder to pass. the back of the end zone becomes a barrier from spreading things out. point being, when you're some where around the 15-20 yard line, the plan should not be to inch your waby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com

I probably should have kept this to myself, lol. even the kids know. well, a bonafide belated welcome aboard to Mr. McQuaide from me. mostly class and image, but when Peter's is talking and he can't back it up on the field, it's pretty sad. and he basically cost us a touchdown with that personal foul so he is the last one who should be talking. and in the case of Sullivan, he may cost us a future game now that the Saints will do extra work to not provide any "tells". you do realize this is the "genius&quoby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com

am I crazy? I follow the Rams pretty religiously. had no idea who this guy was. I saw a #44 high five someone in the post game lockeroom clip and I was like, hmmmm who's that? here's the weirdest part... he's been on the team since 2011 and has been to 2 pro-bowls and signed a 3 year extension through 2021?? is he possibly the longest tenured Ram? I had said my tri-facta (since it was most likely anyway) was to get revenge on the Bears, Saints and Patriots. definitely agree that you test the waters early in the game, because if you're able to pound the rock successfully, you should keep doing it. just be careful because running the ball on first and second down eads to a lot of 3rd downs and possible punts. also.. answering my question about Goff, I think I have to agree with him being injured, ribs (or something to that effect) because thereby kw13 - RamsFootballFans.com

I was torn. basically a "be careful what you wish for" scenario. But it is what it is now. I'd like to think we had an easier time with the 'boys than the saints did with the Eagles. we pretty much led the whole game and ran the ball alot. they made a game of it with 3 minutes to go, but we quickly squashed that. but are we possibly adapting out of necessity? with the loss of Kupp, are we finding it harder to impose our will through the air? (I know, he was absent during Chiefs game, but they had a pretty loose defense). again, feels like we're becoming more and more Fisherball-ish. ok, I know many of you are happy we have this two headed monster running game now, but WTH? we got here by being a passing team that set up the run by passing.woth our guru coach we were aggressive and buried teams with our high scoring offense. we'll see what happens after the season. I would love to believe Gurley is a team player, but Anderson is not just the back-up,like Brown was, he is taking snaps away from Gurley and is the better runner on short yardage situations, including the goal line. we'll see how long Gurley allows someone else to get his TD's.
