Dick Butkus? Best MLB I ever saw.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLMU93 He is not a guy that is going to hang on until he's 34 or 35. Just has zero reason to now. I do think he'll back this year. And even a good chance in 2023. Beyond that? I really doubt it. 10 seasons would be plenty. This is about what Aaron values. Not about what we project him to feel. I believe he feels he has some reasons to walk away. Hope this is wrong. We'll see.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
That I am not heard as advocating any such thing. I do not propose any sort of attempt to cash in on AD. I want him as long as we can have him. I just don't think we can assume he'll be there long. And we better be ready.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
The question is, what will their strategy be? Lots of ways to go wrong. And FOS often hang on too long. Or they don't really believe a player wants to go and they don't take steps quickly enough. I think my biggest fear is that they rely too long on AD to compensate for weaknesses. Like ILB. Of course, this FO has a good track record. But they have spent a lot of capital. I mean they haveby RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
I am not talking about finding the next AD. That's like planning to win the lottery a 2nd time. I doubt I will ever see a Ram DT match him in my lifetime. But many really good defenses thrive with good DTs not in his league. There are other ways to do things. For example, we could commit to finding better ILBs. Adust schemes. Etc. I have always felt our run D allows him to isolate himself.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
I think we have seen peak Aaron. Physically, he could go on another 4-5 years. But Aaron has always been an elite talent driven by off-the-charts motivation. That drive peaked 7 days ago. I think there's a really good chance he hangs them up. His "Run it back" acquiescence was pretty halting. He's a lock for the Hall, has won it all, and shows definite signs of having spent hby RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
We do a great job of filling in the pieces surrounding the stars. But you do need draft picks to get people like AD, Matthew, Ramsay, and the like. Even for trades, you need the picks. When holes start to emerge at QB, WR, Edge, DT, etc., we are going to find them difficult to fill.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
We're pretty old right now. And there is the draft issue. The year following a SB is hard, man. Hard. And then we have to find a new QB soon. And AD is looking past football. OBJ is an injury question. We don't have a settled OL. Our FO is very resourceful. But they need to be thinking rebuild now. And look at all the good teams searching for QBs. We'll be good. But I don't see a clby RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
Do we see the dogged repetition on run calls staying the course ... Or failing to adjust? One can see it either way. Actually, there's probably truth in both views. What I know is that Matthew Stafford is the killer QB we needed. He made McVay right.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
I 'll check them out. I think your header is a bit overstated. (Quotation?) Not sure it failed. Injuries killed a lot of it. A healthy Odell was making the plan right. But McVay did tighten up. It's why Stafford is so crucial. When McVay goes wrong, Matthew makes him right. McVay is a great strategist. But he gets tight and loses feel under pressure. Hopefully, having won a ring he cby RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
We had 3 of them this year. Not just stars. But guys who could and did break people's wills and steal their souls. Matthew. Cooper. Aaron. I've watched this team since 1968. We've had some studs. But these 3 guys ... cold, relentless, lethal competitors. 3 playoff games in a row. They devoured the final minutes 3 times in succession. Stone cold killers on a football field.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
Sometimes I save it. I didn't listen to the Bowl preview episode until Sun morning. Like a treat. I imagine it's on You Tube. But I do the pods. She is on a different level in general. But this one ... Lord. The Goth QB. I love it. If you want to actually understand Stafford and Raheem, you must listen to Jourdan. Sadly, I am too big a cheapskate to pay for The Athletic. As champions. We were really not a high powered offense this year. A clutch offense? Yes. But we won the big games with defense and Matthe Stafford 's command of the 4th Q.by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
I have never heard a follow up to a big game on the level of the post-Super Bowl episode of 11 Personnel. She is off the freaking charts. Running game. Defensive schemes. Analyses of the routes in the final drive. My God, she, like, KNOWS! She knows what the coaches were trying to do, where execution kicked in, everything. She knows what CIN was doing. No time now, but I will post on some tby RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
Great Ram in the Sky What would he have felt with this win in SOCAL?by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it will come down to the lines. The oldest issue in football. For all the sophistication of modern pass offenses and defenses, things have a way of coming down to the LOS. I think we have significant advantages there. But will we press that advantage to our potential? Will we run the ball well? If so, we'll be damn hard to stop. Will we get home often enough to contain Burrowby RFL - RamsFootballFans.com

Look, folks. Don't stone me. But I never really had the sense that Holt was a Hall sort of talent. He was damn good. But he just never seemed to me to be in the Canton League. Ike emphatically did. Torry ? I dunno ...by RFL - RamsFootballFans.com
Here's to all of my Ram brothers and sisters on Super Bowl day. They don't come around often. I remember each one, though. 1980: damn, I thought we were going to win it. The whole offense sprinted down the field in the changeover top Q4. And then the better team flexed its muscle. Rod Perry was inches from knocking the ball away from Swan ... (Or was it Pat Thomas?)
