For me, getting an established pro bowl level WR, with sub 4.4 speed, who is an excellent pattern runner, and 24 years old---I would give a #1 for him---if I had the QB talent to get him. Doesn't mean I would have let Watkins go with 20/20 on $16mill thing we might have to give Cooks.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
That is reallllly hard to believe. I like him, but hmmm, that surprises me.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Barron has incredible change of direction.....when we have Brockers and Suh protecting him (kind of), he can be like a Will, and he can take the TE and no worries on speed down the field. Ya, Barron is a liablity in the run game sometimes, but now that passing is 65%+ of the game, he is very valuable. Wade Knows. Also, very, very few teams could pound it CONSISTENTLY against the Rams. I read somewhere they would save $3.5m...is that right? So, he was healthy enough to cut??by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Check the number of games and multiply by 2 for the grass....it will look and feel better :)by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Ooooooh, I had hopes for Brandon Gibson (joking)......well, sometimes I feel sorry for Jeff Fisher; that 2012 roster was one of the worst ever.....only beaten by the 2011 Rams. Brandon Gibson was the #1 WR.....well ok, Amendola was. I don't think aboutt he Rams much anymore...they are in good hands. Only in 2001 off season had I felt this good before.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
They are both A LOT better than Perry McM--who I have seen in about 60+ games....by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Oh how I love creativity....ya, the Rams knew the right 'parameters' before any of these deals. Demoff has been one of the best at this in the league. All these deals were done with the right view of short term and long term implications. Peters and Cooks are keepers while Suh is a rental and Talib for a 5th rounder might be a steal if he only has one good year (2018)...and they can cut him aby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
I am on the fence, actually....I prefer OL and Edge..... However, the reality is we have a guy who is: 1) a TOP 5 downfield threat in the NFL. 2)He can run patterns from slot and and X. 3) He has great numbers for a small, fast guy---meaning not many guys in NFL history run a 4.35, and get the production he has. (Many, like DeSean Jackons are hurt or many of these "speedsters"by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Maybe you are right.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Ohhhh, and now we will have a LONG super piece by Peter King next Monday with all the details. So that is good for us LA Ram fans. Why a long piece by King? Because the Patriots made a big trade....oh, and the Rams got some little, fast guy who is only ok. LOL, the media prostitute themselves.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
LOL, yes!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Mr Bill!by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Isaac Bruce had 9, 6 and 7 TDs from 2000 to 2002--and we still had a great offense. I never, ever thought of Isaac as a redzone guy....and same with Cooks. . When Cooks was in the draft, I wanted him because of his 4.3 speed, but better yet, his pattern running is excellent. He has produced very well, and there is a reason Belly boy paid a #1 for him. Cooks is that good. Yep, he can't block anby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Give Goff a 2.2 like Alex Smith in Washington, and we are #1 on paper.... Paper Lion!by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Actually the Skins did it from 1975 to 1990, too. THeir Draft picks form 1985 to 1991 were not so good, but they hit on some trades with Dave Butz, Riggins, Jim Lachey, (free agent: Wilbur Marshall).....got a super bowl win in 1991 despite really no good #1 and 2 draft choices....I folow the 1981-1992 skins, so it seemed to w ork out. Also, they never really had a QB after Theismann,a nd they didby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Belilcheck is the patriot way. When he starts losing games, then it will be something else.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
EXACTLY. Trade someone who is good for someone who destroys with personality, but has talent....haha, that is Raiders under AL Davis.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Planting seeds sounds right....OBJ and his 20 mill/yr don't fit the Rams even in 2019....they have 3 OL unsigned in 2019, plus to replace Whit, plus many others....100 mill won't be enough.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Talib and Suh are very smart and hard working for sure; and I think Peters will have his best year in 2018.....so, I am not worried about them AT ALL. If we sign OBnothing, then we will be like Snyder's teams. An insider told me Snyder paid double the admission price to ennter the NFL's bruddahood...again, blah blah blah don't trust me on that.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
4-5 of us agree. I will not be disappointed at #23, or 28 if we trade down or whatever.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
It will be more boring than ugly, lolby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Same, I am hoping the rams spend draft picks on OL, OL, Edge and OL. Peters, Talib and Suh have an 'edge', but I think they are somewhat considerate on some level----and we know this because other players like and respect them. Suh and Talib are intelligent (and actually, I think Peters is too, but maybe I am wrong) OBJ, probably not liked, though I am not sure.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Well with only one Superbowl win since 1967 for the Rams, I will take OBJ for the 2018 version!by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
No Talib in 2020.....by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
Outrageously risk free transactions---cap wise. Getting 3 pro bowlers who are smart, and work hard. that is a risk? No, the personalities are the risk, not their ability. No chips be going nowhere: a) no signing bonus for : Talib and Peters (a 5th for Talib---a 5th is an 80% worthless pick) b) Suh is a 1 year contract, so in effect, there is no signing bonus (because the contract expiresby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
"Great signing for the Rams. Although I’m not sure how much closer to an NFL title it gets them. I watched that playoff game they were in last year, and it wasn’t the defense that was the issue" Posted by AndresCantSleep on Mar 26, 2018 | 3:59 PM Me thinks the offense will not be close to last years success throwing the ball....but, when you have a top 5 defense, then the offeby Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it means what you say if Les Snead and KD agree--which I bet they don't. But, I am not against whatever they do, they proved their worth last year already.by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
We agree; is McGlinkey an NFL starter at LT (ND guy)?by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree with Suh on a 1 year deal--that is what I was hoping for.....and for keeping Sammy for just one year. Obviously, they know something about the cap that we don't know. Besides the 'stuff on the table' in the hotel room, I wonder if Beckam won't add more crap to the 'dream team' mentality that other selfish people like Peters bring. Even I can't think we can handle Beckam, too. Suh,by Steve - RamsFootballFans.com
