Isaac Bruce had
9, 6 and 7 TDs from 2000 to 2002--and we still had a great offense. I never, ever thought of Isaac as a redzone guy....and same with Cooks. [Bruce had 12 TDs in 1999 when HOlt hadn't developed yet].
When Cooks was in the draft, I wanted him because of his 4.3 speed, but better yet, his pattern running is excellent. He has produced very well, and there is a reason Belly boy paid a #1 for him. Cooks is that good. Yep, he can't block and won't be red zone threat, but he provides what the offense needs: fear, along with excellent patterns.
You can't buy
4.3 speed with great pattern running; there are very, very few of them (DeSean Jackson is one).
Of course, I will be embarrassed if the Rams sign him to a $16mill ext next year.
Humility: I wonder if McVay knows more than some on this board??
Probably not.Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/03/2018 08:39PM by Steve.
