Quotezn Quoteoldschoolramfan IMHO.........Tavon and his contract are gone because P.Cooper is going to take over TA's job. So, is Tavon getting released a contract problem, or can we use some of that money to give to Watkins? Watkins will be a Ram.......Period. I am sure the bean counters are busy as we speak. Rams gain 3 M by cutting/trading Tavon. They still have 5 M against the cap on himby max - RamsFootballFans.com

If the Rams lose to the Niners by resting players, they will most likely play the Panthers next week. The Panthers will be expending a lot of energy playing everyone trying to beat the Falcons in Atlanta. If the Panthers lose, and most likely even if they win, then they will have to travel to LA to play the Rams the following Saturday or Sunday, while the Rams stay home after resting against tby max - RamsFootballFans.com
Good article on why rest is better than momentum... NFL Playoffs: The Bye Week Advantage in Divisional Round Playoff Games Andy Konty The 2012 NFL Divisional Round playoff games are this weekend. The four teams hosting games rested and recovered last week while the lower-seeded opponents played their 17th game of the season. It should make no difference in McVay's decision that the game is in LA against the Niners. I remember in 1967 the Rams were playing the Colts to decide the Coastal Division champ on the last game of the season. The Rams destroyed the Colts as the Fearsome Foursome totally dominating Johny U and company. At the same time the Packers were playing in Pittsburgh against a bad Steelers team anby max - RamsFootballFans.com

They know that McVay is responsible for their success this year. And they also heard the comments by Fisher. And the players came out and SAID that McVay deserves all the credit. Not one of them is thanking Fisher for anything right now. Why? Because they know who gave them what they've got this year. Sean McVay. Resting players is good. Gaming the playoffs to play a team that has to play back to back road games and travel coast to coast is good. Having 2 weeks to game plan for that team is good. McVay knows what he’s doing. He took a 4 win team and made it an 11 win team in his first year. That should be enough for any intelligent Rams fan.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
I read Fisher exactly the way you do. And so do the Rams players, including Quinn who was there a year before Fisher got there, and saw it all first hand. They experienced the turnaround and realized how bad it was under Fisher. Fisher went out of his way to say that Tavon called him before Christmas to thank him or some bs thing. That’s totally believable since Fisher gave him all that undeseby max - RamsFootballFans.com

If we play the Panthers, I think its better to play on Saturday. The are playing this Sunday in Atlanta, then will have to travel to LA for a Saturday game. I think thats better for us.by max - RamsFootballFans.com
It will either be the late Saturday or late Sunday game. My guess is that Falcons @ Saints will be the Saturday game, and the Panthers @ Rams will be the Sunday game because the Panthers will have the longer travel going to LA. Some of his stuff is totally off the wall. IMO, he's just a kid who is looking to make a name for himself with some controversial and outlandish statements. Like when he repeatedly harped on his proclamation that Kaepernick isn't as good as any backup QB in the NFL right now. Man, Benoit really milked that one to death. Man, the team looked so fresh and active in the first game against the Colts. We are certainly better and battle tested now, but the bumps and bruises have taken a toll, no doubt, and you can see a clear contrast from game 1 to game 15. One thing I don't know about him is if he will hold up physically. He got hurt in NE after a couple of games. And I remember Bill Parcells saying that JimmyG had a fragile body. So we will see how he does. I still wonder about Belichick letting him go, regardless of the compensation. Its not like him to let go of a young outstanding talent for any reason. In the 50's, the Rams were Champions. In the 60's neither were Champs, but the Rams were better in the late 60's In the 70's the Rams took hold of the West from 73 to the end, with the Niners being a decent team under Brodie in the early 70's. The Rams Niner rivalry can be the best west coast rivalry. It will be 70 years of being in the same division when the new stadium opens. That’s the longest rivalry for either team.
