I think Garoppolo will be good, just don't know how good.

One thing I don't know about him is if he will hold up physically. He got hurt in NE after a couple of games. And I remember Bill Parcells saying that JimmyG had a fragile body. So we will see how he does.

I still wonder about Belichick letting him go, regardless of the compensation. Its not like him to let go of a young outstanding talent for any reason. Who knows how much longer Brady has. At 40 years old he can drop off the cliff at any moment. Its not like the Pats can be sure of getting another top tier QB when Brady drops off. If JimmyG turns out to be a top tier QB and the Pats flounder getting a Brady replacement, does Belichick retire? And does that mean the end of the Pats run? If so, then the Pats miscalculated.
