That's the old Firewater Bar and Grill location, which closed in 2009 , iirc, when its owner went to prison for selling pot. I hope it will reopen as a music venue, I've enjoyed the place over the years.by txramfan - Bucky's Pub
He died a week or so after finding his daughter, who had used a gun to commit suicide. They both were struggling with depression, iirc and coke triggered his heart failure. DFW still has someone with a lion in his commercials and the father / son duo who carry a hammer in their commercials.by txramfan - Bucky's Pub

I bought a Mauser C 96 broom handle made by Umarex. I loaded it , 18 bbs, Christmas day and shot it in the backyard with my son and 2 15 year old grandsons. Son and I were surprised how loud it was. It could get me in trouble. Edit...I got it on Amazonby txramfan - Bucky's Pub
Quotewaterfield that can't be created anywhere ? Pick your protein first. Brisket , beef ribs, pork ribs, pork butt, chicken, sausage. All available most anywhere . Then pick your wood. Post Oak and mesquite both are readily available in Texas, not so much in CA. Mesquite is hotter and gives a different flavor than post oak. Other woods can be used alone or together. I use hickory and postby txramfan - Bucky's Pub
QuoteJamesJM where did you read that? There is nothing in physics that says that shot wasn't possible. - JamesJM The movement of JFKs head (and I think part of his skull ending up on the trunk ) caused by a shot from above and behind I believe is the issue. Crossfire by Jim Marrs is an interesting read about the JFK assassination.by txramfan - Bucky's Pub

Another board I'm on , one of the members yesterday posted about this tragedy and mentioned his son knew the pilot of the P 63, he also told his personal connection with the B 17g going back to touring it with his father years ago. His dad had served on a B 17 as a ball turret gunner. Today he posted info about the pilot, no name as it is still not public. My dad , he's 99 , called me yesterdaby txramfan - Bucky's Pub
My dads family is from Sweden and in the digging my dad has done he acquired a documentary done by the BBC of one of our female relatives ( first name Stora) in Sweden. Stora was well liked, threw nice parties, ran the property not her brother which I understand is rare in Sweden. My parents visited that area of Sweden and discovered if they had visited a few years sooner all the relatives in theby txramfan - Bucky's Pub
The FAA changed a rule during that class. Basically a ground school instructor, which the course was, now had to have a specific % of students pass . If they went below they had to recertify. Anyway teacher told the class what happened and not everyone was approved for the FAA test. I was, declined as the hours I needed at $27.50 wet w/ instructor wasn't in my then 17 year old budget.by txramfan - Bucky's Pub
In high school , back in 75, a teacher who flee , taught the course material to take your test and it involved flying a bit. Rented planes and another flight instructor not our teacher A single 30 minute up down in a Cessna 150 one time and then a month or so later a cross country flight with 3 kids and the instructor. Yep, I use to get one just before kick off when the Rams played early games. Then I changed my strategy to waiting for the Rams to score before having a beer. I have now changed to waiting for a score and only having pints.by txramfan - Bucky's Pub
I visit southern CA often and the price difference between CA and Plano TX is shocking. I understand why just observing . I've noticed prices have risen in both locations , I haven't tried to compare which has changed more though I haven't seen crazy price increases at hotels I frequent and I pay attention to that one. My sports bar of choice since 99 in TX has increased his 34 oz mug of beerby txramfan - Bucky's Pub
Was for leaches. There was a big glass container in the pharmacy full of leaches, one day they got a call about them for a person who had a large contusion and a DR used some leaches to reduce it. It was the Monorail where the person died. They were sneaking in for Grad Night and were ran over and we came to a halt. One of the coolest things I did as a kid was being inside Disneyland before the gates opened. So if you wonder how a kid was inside before the gates opened, it was easy. My dad worked for Upjohn and worked in the pharmacy on Main street for the first 5 years Disneyland was open. Mom dad and my sister and a cousin all went to the pre grand opening of Disneyland. I'm also 6'5" and frankly question the guidelines for weight. I'm 64 now and my weight varies from 205 to 210 during the year. Back when I was in my late 30s I hit 244 so I started working out 6 days a week and got my weight down to 199lbs. Height / weight chart I recall looking at back then said I was still over weight. Take a look at Bionaire. Its been 25 years since I represented the company , or sold that type product so I'm not up todate on the company or products. I can tell you back then they were a great company with great products. JC Penney, Dillards and some divisions of the defunct Radio Shack were my customers.by txramfan - Bucky's Pub

Way back in 1975 I was bringing my girlfriend, now my wife, to meet my parents for the first time. We drove up from Dana Point harbour and past a dead raccoon a couple blocks from my parents house. We went to my parents house, I introduced my girlfriend excused myself and went to the garage for a shovel . My dad came out and inquired about what I was doing, my girlfriend already knew, I toldby txramfan - Bucky's Pub
