Was for leaches.
There was a big glass container in the pharmacy full of leaches, one day they got a call about them for a person who had a large contusion and a DR used some leaches to reduce it.
It was the Monorail where the person died. They were sneaking in for Grad Night and were ran over and we came to a halt. I was 10 or so and remember a kid my age asking his parents why we were stopped , his dad said we ran out of gas. I laughed but said nothing, just looked down at the fire truck and police cars. The drowning happened when a person tried to swim to Tom Sawyer Island.
There is a photo of my dad in the pharmacy with two co-workers. They misspelled our last name, I discovered it by accident, my dad laughed about it when I showed him.
He turns 99 this month.
