My dads family is from Sweden and in the digging my dad has done he acquired a documentary done by the BBC of one of our female relatives ( first name Stora) in Sweden. Stora was well liked, threw nice parties, ran the property not her brother which I understand is rare in Sweden. My parents visited that area of Sweden and discovered if they had visited a few years sooner all the relatives in the USA would have been part of the inheritance. Twas a chunk of land is what I was told and most of it ended up being left to the town. Mom and dad were welcomed with open arms when the locals learned the connection to Stora.
Now a connection to Italy via my families roots to Sweden.
On the Isle of Capri is Villa San Michelle. Now a museum , was a private house owned by Axel Munthe, was a Roman house way. I'm related to him. My dad casually mention that to me about 15 years ago a day or so before I headed to Italy on vacation. Luckily the Isle of Capri was part of the trip.
