QuoteJamesJM but I suspect that by game one Goff, with rookie mistakes and jitters, may be more likely to win games that Keenum. It's give and take... Yes, it's better to have a plan than to not have a plan. But, I think Fisher's plan with Goff is deserving of scrutiny and probably criticism. If Keenum isn't the future and they want Goff ready as soon as possible, they need to be giving him ALL the reps and snaps he can handle. Limiting him in any way during training camp and the preseason is a waste. If Goff, even at this early stage, caby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

Never said the WR situation hasn't been addressed. But addressed and fixed are two different animals. We've seen coaching moves and player acquisitions before but it still hasn't solved the WR problem the Rams have had. A bunch of neophyte coaches and mid to late round WR projects is par for the Fisher course. I don't think the offense has a whole new feel to it so far this year either. don't hate 'em, either. But I think they look to have two promising youngsters and a decent enough placeholder. Yeah, Sanchez takes a lot of criticism and deserves much of it, but put in the right situation he can QB a team to the playoffs. These Broncos are at least as good as the Ryan Jets so it's isn't unfathomable to me for Sanchez to just ride the defense.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

John Lynch was the color commentator for the last Broncos game and he was wondering and hoping if Paxton Lynch would get the start for the 3rd preseason game. I agree that Lynch deserves a chance. He was making some NFL caliber throws throughout the 2nd half and his receivers weren't helping. Lynch seems like a lot better value overall than Goff. Because we wouldn't want to upset the perennial 7-9 record? Isn't the whole point of drafting Goff to finally not have Kellen Clemens, Shaun Hill, Austin Davis and Case Keenum starting games? In the past, it was a necessity. Now, they're choosing to do it. Which is unacceptable.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
That's all they did with Keenum last year. They ran the ball, played good defense and rarely put Keenum in a position to make plays. He only averaged 26 pass attempts per game and that's including the outlier SF game where he stunk on ice. Just from what I've seen so far, I think Goff wouldn't be any worse than Keenum was last year. If they'd give the kid all the reps in practice and more pby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
It's a problem because they aren't doing everything they can to get him ready to start, just as you said. Keenum is what he is and should be able to get by with a reduced number of snaps. Goff should be getting the majority of reps so he can get READY. If he isn't used to taking snaps under center or calling plays in the huddle or making line calls or calling audibles or whatever, repetition iby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteDak Prescott would have no advantage in our offensive scheme nor would Wentz at this stage. Both those guys have wheels and in a run heavy offense that's usually a big advantage. or Jeff Fisher. He enjoys lying too much anyway. I'm basing my opinion on what the Rams did and spent to get this guy and how the rest of the league operates. I agree that the only way the Rams can have a #1 WR is that they'll have to develop him. But what are the chances of that? Look at Quick and Austin. That's what this regime thinks are good WR projects. Unless you want to add Fisher's pet Britt. I don't see much of a chance of this staff developing a #1 WR. Not that they could actually attain one for the next couple of years anyway. Tby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Certainly doesn't make sense to me that Bradford, Newton, Luck, Bortles, Winston, etc. could all get on the field right away but Goff is going to have to sit on the bench...behind Keenum!?! Favre used to and Rodgers does the same thing. I attribute it to carrying out the fake and think it's a good thing if they're being instructed to do so. Seriously, out of all the QB's drafted this year, does Goff really stand out as better than any of them? I don't see how he ever lives up to 6 draft picks and #1 overall.
